I bought my daughters dress here last year in 2022 and reserved it. My daughter's Quince is on 8/26/23. They called me to set up my daughter's first fitting appointment last week and I scheduled it for 7/24. I get a call on like that Friday before that they can't see her on this day, because they have an inconvenience at the store on this day that they had to reschedule. I was not very happy, because I had already scheduled to take this day off for her first fitting. I went to the first fitting on 7/27 and I was asking the lady there if we would be able to take the dress out for my daughters photo shoot and bring it back to them to keep until a few days before the event and they said they couldn't do that for our security and theirs. I told her if she wrinkled it on the phoshoot could they iron it and they stated they could, but I would have to call and make an appointment and pay $75 extra dollars. They needed to hem the dress on the length and they said do you want us to do it today or another day and I told her today is fine, since I had already taken the day off. They told me to come back for her to try it on and see if it was okay. I came back about two hours later. My daughter tried it on and I told them it was good that way. I never mentioned that I was going to take the dress and all of the sudden she starts bringing the dress to the front and I told her Mam, but we're not taking it today. She proceeded to state well you never said that you were not and I told her, but I never told you I was either so not sure where she got the impression that I was taking it today? I was mind blown that she took it upon herself to think that I was taking it today. I told her well can you keep it here for at least another week and she stated that they could but that she had already ironed it and she would have to fold it to put it away and when I decided to go and pick it up I would get it that way no ironed again? I told asked her why she said that as a courtesy she ironed it, but they usually don't iron them anymore and they just hand them out like that, how does that make any sense? What do you mean you don't iron them anymore? Also you're telling me I just spend $2000 dollars with your store and she couldn't even let the dress stay there for another week and then just give me my daughter's dress ironed again???? How much does an iron cost/take you to do that, that you couldn't give me this much for all I paid, for the business I gave you. Poor customer service. At this point I wouldn't reccomend them even if I liked the dress to be honest. I brought all my other items with me also. I brought the glass box where you put cards in and it had a decoration in the front and when I got home it had already fallen off the box without even touching it. I mentioned this to the lady and she's, oh you can paste that back with glue that's how we do it. My final thought not happy with the final outcome of how things happened, but done doing business with them...
Read moreI was about the age of 14 or 15 years old when I received an amazing opportunity that later today changed my life. Hi everyone my name is Miroslava Ramirez I am now an ex model of Alborada and I am truly thankful for the opportunity that I received from them. It all began when I I was about 14 and I would go to see the different expos they had and If I can remember exactly they asked me to fill out a form for us to get more Information about other events and expos in the future. We enjoyed the expo the rest of the evening. A few weeks later my mom gets a phone call from Alborada saying they would have a casting for a girl to get a chance to be in the cover of the magazine. When my mom told me about this Opportunity I was a bit scared because I had no experience. So I went to the casting, and later they announced the winner. I unfortunately didn’t get in the cover, but that didn’t discourage me because, what I didn’t know was that I would be getting a different opportunity. So I still wouldn’t give up and would go to the castings and try again and again. I think I went to 3 and all 3 i didn’t get the cover. But after my last casting, weeks later I got an opportunity with Alborada to model their dresses. It was a big opportunity where I was able to grow as a person and really helped me get out of my shell. After I had that event I later would get contacted by many quinceanera companies to model their dresses. So I modeled for Dream Quince, Alborada, Celebrations and many more. Thanks to alborada I was able to grow not only in the modeling world but also with myself. I encourage all the young ladies who will have their quince or sweet 16 to go to Alborada. From start to finish they give you the best customer service and help you find the best dress for your special day. They have packages in which they can work with your budget if you have one. I was a very shy little girl and with the help of alborada I was able to grow and be the social butterfly today. Now today I am 20 years old and will be going to New York for a fashion show to model dresses doing a tribute to a very well known designer Oscar de la Renta. I am very excited for this project and I am extremely thankful because without Alborada and my support of my family I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you once again Alborada for the amazing opportunities you gave me and the support to be where I am today. (If I was able to accomplish my dream you can too! Nothing is impossible if you put dedication and...
Read moreTraveled from Ohio for my daughter's dress shopping. Initially found the dress at the first place we were at but wanted to try others on as well. Found the same dress at Alborada. After trying on a few other options she decided on the one that was at both shops. To seal the deal the wonderful sales lady offered a free tiara! We picked out a teddy bear as well and discussed shipping. Since her party is in May, we were told it would be sent out in January so we had enough time for any alterations (this was March of 2023). I got a call early January to let me know they would call back the following week with shipping info and to make the final payment. We never received the call. I had my husband call this week because he speaks Spanish thinking that would be easier. It was not. The person told him they wouldn't ship it we had to come get it. So I had to reiterate the conversation from March. (Even though the shipping cost is on the original order form). They also told him it would be shipped a month before the party! Then when I looked at the receipt they sent for the final payment, we were overcharged. They did not comp the tiara ($130) and did not send any shipping tracking info. I replied to the email again relaying the discrepancy and was told, basically, too bad. Very disappointed. I was hoping we had found a place I could take my other daughter andy 2 nieces in the future but will have to go elsewhere. I realize in the scheme of things what ends up being almost $150 with taxes doesn't amount to a lot when you're paying $1000+ for a dress, it's just...
