Trader Joe's in West Hartford holds a special place for me as it was my go-to store during my daughter's six years in Connecticut. Like all Trader Joe's locations, it offers a great variety of unique and affordable products, but this particular store had its quirks that made it a bit challenging at times. The store itself is on the smaller side, and the layout feels a bit chaotic, with aisles that aren't intuitively arranged. Navigating the store during peak hours could feel like a game of bumper carts. Additionally, this location isn't allowed to sell wine, which is always a letdown for those who love pairing their TJ finds with a bottle of their affordable and fun selections. Thankfully, there's a Total Wine right in the same plaza, which helps balance the inconvenience. Speaking of the plaza, while it's spacious, the parking situation leaves a lot to be desired. The layout doesn't seem to prioritize customer convenience, often making the experience of simply getting in and out more stressful than it should be. Another notable downside was the frequent lack of stock for high-demand items. While it's understandable that certain items fly off the shelves, it seemed to be a consistent issue at this location. It's a reminder that while we get used to certain things, there's always room for improvement in how customers are served. Despite its limitations, the charm of Trader Joe's shines through in the quality and variety of its offerings. This store was a reliable spot for me over the years, even if it wasn't perfect. The proximity to Total Wine and the general atmosphere of the area made it a place I visited often and still think of fondly. Saluti

My second time going here . First time I had time to just walk around and look I read an article about trader Joe's the top ten things you should try or something like that and one was the orange chicken 🐔 so I went we look looked around and find the two things I thought I should try so I got the orange chicken and a chile chicken patties yet try the patties but orange chicken was amazing everyone loved it . The store was also very good we picked up a few other things and checked out very quickly

Crazy place especially on a Saturday. Friendly and quick staff at the register makes up for frantic atmosphere on the floor. Love their original store brand products, swear by frozen dinners ( great Chinese and Indian! ), olive oil, fresh flowers, PB stuffed pretzels and of course tasting station - I always end up buying something!

Good grocery with a fair amount of products. The quality is great, and the prices a very good. The only thing that I really dislike is the store layout. When the store is full it's very difficult to maneuver a cart or even to walk around the store without bumping into someone. Checkout times can also be long at peak times.

Store was well stocked and clean. A little crowded in the aisles but no wait on line once i was ready to check out. Not bad for a Friday night. I got 13 snack and dessert items for just over $50... highly recommend the ube mochi pancake mix, umami rice cracker snacks, and the cheesecake cones.

I bought the sushi in this place and it was old, no fresh. I thought all the food in this places was fresh and in a good condition. Probably I’ll never going to buy again sushi here.
