Style Encore - Melbourne, FL — Attraction in West Melbourne

Never again... Spent close to $160. between the two women's stores. Came in for a return/exchange/store credit and Ashlie kept saying the return policy is on the bottom of the receipt... My point was (being it was my first visit) that I wish someone told me about Clearance items being final sale. No store credi. No refund. No exchange. I was told I had 7 days for a return. After you get your receipt its too late... You have already purchased the item... Not to brite of her. She said it 3 times to me.... 3 times. I would have tried everything on. I was told I could do a store credit by a big older gentleman at the time of my purchase..... I really just don't like being lied to or deceived. I felt like I was literally tricked.With 5 daughters I thought I would definitely be back but won't be now Especially after Ashlie... And all this over a $15. Credit..... I even told her how disappointing this all was and she told me she was sorry I felt that way but under no circumstances would she honor a store credit... Said "her" Clearance sale was over but the big 70% Clearance sign was out right when you walk in. Said I could try to sell them back to her.... I would not suggest this establishment...

This was the 4th time I’ve had an issue at this place, 3 times prior to today I have gone in with my friend who is Hispanic and they have refused to take her clothing, I came back the next day with the same box of clothes and they accepted all but a few items. Today I went in with another friend of mine who is visibly queer and Hispanic and without even looking at the clothes the man denied them (it has been the same man each time I’ve been) including a brand new 400 Calvin Klein dress which he only looked at because I waved it in his face. Most of the clothing is designer and brand new as my friend is a designer and has worked for several high end stores. Honestly it the people at both this location and the Plato’s closet next door have been nothing but disgusting in their behavior, even when feigning politeness (which they only did today as we came with my mother) again I would not make this review of this hadn’t happened multiple times. But if you can do not give them business they’re only interested in tattered lily Pulitzer I would recommend all other location...

I brought my clothes to Plato’s closet and apparently Plato’s closet Pre-sorts for style encore now. I was handed a bag and was told” this is some stuff style encore might be interested in” I was never directed not to recombine it with the rest of my clothes. The styles I have were too mature for Plato’s. I figured they would want to resort through the clothes. When I arrived to Style Encore the lady( who I would assume was the manager or the owner) was very nasty and told me that I should have left my stuff in the bag. She then proceeded to only take one pair of my shoes and offer me $2 for them. Very spiteful. Never going to either two of these locations again. I don’t care if you feel like my clothes or shoes aren’t a fit for your company ( which I strongly disagree compared to a lot of what is in the store, my clothes were in better condition) but there is no need to be...
