My recent visit to Kona Poke in Melbourne, Florida, was an absolute delight that left my taste buds craving for more. From the moment I entered the vibrant and modern eatery, I knew I was in for a treat.

I have been anxiously awaiting for Kona Poke to open and it was worth the wait! Not only do they have an abundance of gluten free options, but the bowls are all made with fresh ingredients by knowledgeable staff. I have a gluten allergy and it's often hard for me to find places that offer good gluten free food, let alone places that even consider us GF people.

The food was incredible. I got a BYO bowl with rice and salad base, salmon, sesame and boom boom sauce (do NOT skip out on the boom boom sauce if you like a little heat), cilantro, cream cheese, cucumbers, green onion and seaweed salad. I was so impressed that the seaweed salad was made with GF soy sauce and the staff was quick to answer about it instead of having to go to the back and see.

The wait in line was quick and the manager stepped in quickly to help move along the line. The options for bowls offered many different combinations for their build your own and even had GF and DF desserts as well. We were hoping to try the Dole Whip but heard that there were some manufacturing issues. We can't wait to try it on our next visit though!
