I purchased a leather sectional during memorial day paid around $6000 supposedly to be all cowhide leather, very beautiful. When delivery day came after unloading almost all one of the sectional recliners had a different shade of gray and this one piece had the gray ton I purchased so I decided to send it back and have them redelivery at the correct color. The delivery man was not happy we could see it in his face, but they took everything back they were just not very polite left my living room full of plastic debris did not even closed the doors behind them when they left showing their insatisfaction. I could have return the entire thing and request my money back but decided to give another shot. Another week without a couch I waited for the next delivery and again the sectional had different shades of gray you could clearly see I took a picture. I decided to let them try to bring one that match and sign their ipad as " not acceptable different color sectional" they rush you to sign and make sure they are cover instead of making sure you are satisfied. Well continue to the Eldorado Furniture saga, I seat in the recliner to watch a movie and it was super uncomfortable gave me a terrible back ache I was there for about 2 hours, so adding this to the color issue that they could never get the whole section to match we decided to return and choose another available option this time something with a more comfortable material and easier to color match so we decide for a similar model in sued. The manager approved the return and the person helping to input the order still being rude and trying to make things difficult when I shout if she could not accommodate to have the sectional pickup and deliver at the same day she could just pick up and return my money and I would go order from another store so them she stop being rude and mean and decided to communicate with us in a more professional manner. I loved the new sectional they deliver super modern and comfortable but few weeks after I discovered they never return the difference from the returned order from the new order almost 2000 in difference so again I had to go to Eldorado, I come in there and they fixed but are missing some money so there I come again the next day and they could not resolve ask me to come the following day since is when the manager who can correct this issues would be available. There was a $200 difference he offered me to choose something else and he would add another 100.00 for all the inconveniences. I started browse the store and there were a few things I could use the credit towards so I decided for a recliner accent chair. As me and my husband are walking to the front to communicate the manager of our decision my husband is approach by one of their female employee she opens her cell phone getting very close to him and not respecting any social distance and decided to show him a collection of bathing suits asking his personal opinion my husband feels uncomfortable with her approach looks at me at this point I was a little far from them she keeps insisting in collect his personal opinion so I yelled at her and asked WHY ARE YOU ASKING THESE QUESTIONS TO MY HUSBAND? So hide your husbands ladies when going in there. Of course I decided to cancel my plans on this new order and just get my money back to hopefully never return. Read moreWe were in need of a new double recliner sofa and an occasional chair for our media room and had a list of stores to shop. We started at El Dorado in West Palm Beach as it was the first store after exiting I-95 onto Okeechobee Blvd. We entered the store and we're pleasantly greeted by Doris Bettinger. She was attractive, smartly dressed and projected an attitude of honest professionalism, something rarely seen in sales people. I was in electronics sales for many years and can smell a phony shyster a mile away. Lord knows I worked with enough of them. I was not getting these vibes from this genuinely friendly woman as she greeted us and told us that if we had any questions or could help us in any way to let her know. We explained that we wanted to walk around a bit and look for a while to which she told us where she would be should we need any assistance or questions. At that point she let us explore on our own. I found it interesting that despite the fact there were several other sales associates, nobody else approached us offering help which I respected.
After we looked around and had some questions, we sought out Doris who was ready and happy to help. Her expert knowledge of the inventory, keen eye and design and decorating sense were invaluable to our decision making process. We knew what we liked but decided to travel to the next store down the street and found a few things that we liked, but not as much in either quality or style that El Dorado had to offer. The salesman that latched onto us was also hunting us down every 10 minutes which really put me off after letting him know we'd let him know when we had questions. We decided we'd seen enough, thanked the overly persistent salesman and left. We didn't feel like we had to look at anything else.
At home that night we reviewed the day and our shopping experiences and decided we'd return to El Dorado and Doris to purchase the Recliner sectional and and occasional chair.
The next day we did just that and being a salesperson of Doris's caliber, she was looking out for her customer's best interest. She made us aware of the 4th of July sale going on and our savings based on what we spent on the furniture we purchased. Running the total of what we intended to buy, she informed us that if we spent only $1.00 more we could increase our discount considerably more, so go find something cheap like a pillow and save even more! Looking around I found area rugs, which we need! We found one we liked for less than $150. and with the newly added discount, paid just under $50.for it!
Doris took very good care of us from start to finish. She even came in on her first day of vacation, off the clock, to help us with finalizing our sale. She is a gem and truly cares about her customers. It was a pleasure working with her and to be sure, she will be the only person we will have help us in the purchase of any further home furnishing needs we may have. This is in addition to my review earlier....If you want me to stop negative reviews....then whoever responds needs to make some type of adjustment ..instead of saying sorry, email us. I spent a fortune (8k plus) and everything was defective and it is now 3 months later and they still have not done anything to rectify my inconvenience other than changed out defective furniture for more defective items. Unreal how horrible everything is made. They delivered my couch definitive, a reclining couch..when you got up the couch went with you causing me to fall on the floor...Compensation for the above $100 gift card... I did not have a functining couch for 3 months and they offer me $100 for my bad experience. They will not even pay the xray bill. I get a run around from the manager to the corporate office and no one calls back. If it wasn't for the hard working sales girl Blanca I would send everything back...still may!!!!! I am so discus ted with the service and the horribly made furniture.. Bought a mirror, cracked before opened, Lamps coming apart. Great they exchange it but does not say much for the way things are made. Buy at RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing salesgirl. Thank you Blanca for your dedication to making your customers happy. On the flip side I am encountering a terrible experience with the management and corporate office. I purchased many items and 3 were defective. A couch, TV console and a lamp. It is now 3 weeks and I still have not received a call from the corporate office or any kind of resolution. They sent the delivery guys 3 times to check on the items and each time they said the items are fine. Finally a service tech came, marked as defective and no resolution yet. :-(. Great store if you do not have issues with any items purchased. Hoping to hear from someone very soon.
Please know the situation has not gotten better as it is now 6 weeks and I still have defective furniture. I have been authorized an exchange, but corporate office has not done anything to accommodate me for all the inconveniences. 6 weeks of damaged furniture and 6-8 service visits and the company refused to offer any adjustment on the furniture purchase.
