I transferred to Keiser from another college in Massachusetts. They approved my transcript and said all my credits would transfer over no problem and I’d graduate within two years. So I drive all the way down, move in, love it. The food is absolutely disgusting and limited but that’s another topic. They scheduled me for a bunch of random classes that did not apply to my degree. I moved in the Wednesday before Labor Day, classes started Tuesday, and by Thursday my classes were still up in the air. When they finally got around to me they lost my transcript. Had to order a new transcript. Then im informed my credits don’t fully transfer. For example 5 credits for a class at my school is only worth 2 at Keiser. Mind you they approved all of this before I moved in. They tell me the only way for me to continue at Keiser will be an additional $30,000 and an additional semester. I was orginally quoted $65,000 for two years education and room/board. Now it’s $95,000. And I came to Keiser with two years of college experience! I go to the finance office to get a quote for the hell of it for the additional schooling. They then WHISPER to me if I don’t leave by Friday at midnight my entire semester balance is non refundable! Keep in mind I sat around for a week waiting for them to act, now they acted and told me to GTFO or NO REFUNDS! My guidance counselor Heather Grey made the entire experience miserable. Let me say that name again. HEATHER GREY, and once more, HEATHER GREY. She’s all sweet on selling you to come to the school. The moment I confronted her she began treating me like a child and talking down to me. Saying “of course you don’t have enough credits” when it was clearly outlined in the packet I could graduate in two years for this price with these incoming credits. She starts saying “well we can just add that $30,000 to your funding plan”. Complete scumbag of a school. I should’ve known better that a school convicted by the state of Florida for paying its admissions councilors commission based salary’s would still do it. I’ve learned more in the week of dealing with Keisers lying staff about proper business deals and strategies than I did in my entire college career. F Keiser. You brought so much trauma into my life. I made some incredible friends for the one week I was there. You robbed me emotionally, and you robbed me financially. I’m still out the thousands of dollars in travel expenses! Keiser, and particularly HEATHER GRAY, GO F l CK YOURSELF! Stay...
Read moreI recently had a conversation with an advisor from Kaiser College regarding their registered nurse program. While I had initially reached out with high hopes and excitement, the conversation took an unexpected turn that left me feeling disappointed and disheartened.
During the conversation, the advisor asked me about the year I graduated from school. When I mentioned that I graduated in 1995, his response (ooh/eww)seemed to be one of disappointment. This response caught me off guard and left me feeling devalued and discouraged.
As someone who was looking to further educate myself and make a positive change in my life, I did not expect my age and the year I graduated to be the focus of the conversation. It is disheartening to feel judged based on these factors, especially when seeking support and guidance from an educational institution.
Education should be a platform that welcomes individuals from all walks of life and provides equal opportunities for growth and advancement.
It is unfortunate that the advisor's response overshadowed the potential benefits and opportunities that Kaiser College may have offered. As a result, I have decided not to proceed with my scheduled appointment. It is my belief that age should never be a determining factor in one's ability to pursue education and further their career.
In conclusion, my experience with the advisor from Kaiser College left a lasting negative impression. The lack of sensitivity and understanding displayed during our conversation has made me question the values and inclusivity of the institution. I hope that my feedback can serve as an opportunity for Kaiser College to reflect on their practices and ensure that all individuals, regardless of age or background, are treated with the respect and support...
Read moreI am so disappointed with this university. The education is a joke and everyone is so unprofessional. The advising is so unorganized and the way my schedule was handled was horrible. My first semester there, as a junior transfer student, I was told i needed to change my major for the best, which was fine because it was my decision to. But i still wanted to complete my nursing classes i needed to apply for a nursing program. I was then told i can’t take more than 15 hours without being approved and then, once approved, i have to take a fast 4-5 week class. I pay for my classes and it is my decision if i want to take more classes. I understand they want to make sure i can handle it, but if i can’t it’s my own fault and it will be my fault if i waste my money. Also i find it ridiculous that i can’t create my own schedule. For my spring classes i was sent an email saying my classes had already been chosen? I don’t think it is right for me to not be able to choose my class times or my professor. I do not look at this school as a university. To me it’s like a junior college that just opened up and is still trying to figure out...
