I came here for my small dinner graduation party of 6(4 adults and 2 children). The lady tried to tell me my son was an adult when in fact he’s 10y.o. He is just a little tall for his age. So, I didn’t like she had an attitude when I said “no, he’s a child still”. This was our 1st time trying something new. New food, culture etc. and no one spoke English well to tell us how to turn the tables on, we had to get our own food to cook(I thought it was like hibachi), nor did they tell us if we don’t like a drink(they suggested) we can’t exchange it. We spent almost $300 and with our 4 Pot&BBQ meals they ONLY BROUGHT US 1 COW to SHARE! It had only 3 small steaks on it so the 4th adult didn’t get 1. I asked why not give each person their own cow like the picture especially if we are paying for it? The waiter didn’t understand the question. Very frustrating with a language barrier. 18% gratuity was automatically included in our bill even though we were a party less than 8. The waiter was upset I wanted to give her the exact amount she said she didn’t have change so I had to go to my car to break a 100 dollar bill. This place is just opening I think they need to have someone trained to speak better English to give new guest a better experience. For example, do you have Sake? She said “no not yet”, and they did have it (Apple Fiji). Do you have orange soda? She said “no, not yet”. My son got orange boba because she said they don’t have orange soda and that one is good and in fact it wasn’t “no exchange because everyone else will want to do it”. The only English drink she knew was Pepsi, sprite, and lemonade, so that’s what we got. 1st experience and never again! Ps: the table seats 6 people but we had to keep reaching over 1 another to try and use the grill that was by the wall. They should’ve placed it in the middle of the table. We had to split the tables up. Another downfall is the smoke blew in 1 direction (all in my face)maybe because the ac was on but the little fan on our table didn’t do its job. The waiter said it’s because we were cooking our food on setting 6 I said well we have 2 hrs to eat we waisted 30mins sitting here thinking you would bring food to cook so we can’t cook our food on the 3 (slow)setting the steak is taking forever to cook it needs to cook on 6(high). Never again we will stick with hibachi places like Sato’s. No wow...
Read moreIt's clean. My teen adult talked us into trying this place.... lol. Grammy was so confused 😂😂😂😂😂 but she took one for the team.
1st READ THE MENU and all the signs. They have an assortment of all types of meats and seafood and vegetables. I did not understand the concept. But thank goodness for the young lady sitting behind us, she was willing to allow us to observe her.
There are a lot of different fees. 32.99 for hot pot and 38.99 for hotpot and BBQ. Now, this is where it gets tricky. If anyone at your table orders the BBQ, meaning the burner in the middle of the table, everyone at your table will be charged 38.99. They bring out this golden cow, which I forgot to take a picture of because I was overwhelmed.🥴 it has nicely sliced pieces of raw beef on it. That you cook yourself...yes, YOURSELF.
We (Grammy and I) thought we ordered just the hotpot. In the end, we realized that we were charged for BBQ. Because whoever orders the BBQ, the whole table is charged that fee.
Now, being we(Gram and I) don't eat beef like that we didn't eat any. I thought it was a lot of raw beef for one person. Because we thought we ordered the Hotpot only.
Anywhoo..try not to cross contaminate. That was my focus, especially with the raw food on plates, cooking it, and putting it back on that same plate. And watch my Daughter(young adult). My nerves were bad. Plus, the use of the utensils with the cooking meat and eating from it.
Hotpot, you choose your broth. I chose mushroom, and Grams chose Herb. Both were VERY GOOD and flavorful. Ask for a spoon to dip out the broth into your bowl. I forgot to ask if there was MSG🥴 in the broth. For the hotpot, there was shrimp, crab, veggies, tofu, I mean everything you can think of.
THE ONLY CATCH IS DO NOT OVER FILL YOUR PLATE, THEY CHARGE EXTRA. iF YOU DO NOT EAT IT. ANNNNDDD...
IF YOU OPT TO TAKE THE BBQ HOME SAY YOU DIDN'T EAT IT ALL LIKE MY ADULT CHILD DID... THEY CHARGE YOU PER POUND TO GO. YUP!
Overall I like it, the owner seemed very nice, my daughter ordered Bubba tea she says it's the best she's ever had. I wanted to try the matcha, but I was too full. They have a dessert bar with cups of ice cream. Matcha ice cream would be a nice add. We spent about $150 with tip. 🥴 expensive lunch for 3...Try it for yourself it's an...
Read moreMy Special Lady Friend and I just left after having a wonderful dinner. We were greeted by Pam, who did a great job of explaining the menu and checking in throughout our meal. I do not have the pictures of a "meat cow" that started off our courses, as we had gotten up and started to load our plates with appetizers like kimchee, gyoza, crab legs, and shrimp. I would recommend just waiting for the cow. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Too much to grill, and btw, we also added the hot pot or the grill for $5usd more. Either way to have both was worth it. It's $31.50 for ALL YOU CAN EAT! They have the meats, seafood, and some exotic things I recommend like beef aorta, and pig uterus. I put this in my review because they were very tasty and if youre squeamish about these, someone in your party will have one of them on their plate. I put them in my pork broth, my wife went veggie and upon heavy. Next time I would like to grill them crispy. I ordered a beer which came to us on a robot(see video). Sabrina (owner) told us the kimchee is home made and the taste is fresh and not heavily fermented (no funk, but I like the funk), and complemented everything perfectly. After consuming what I believe to be about 3.5lbs of food (remember it all you can eat), a strawberry cake was a perfect ending to the meal. We were offered ice cream from Sabrina, but we will save it for the next time. If youre adventurous or normal, this place is a must. I hope i don't ruin my chances of getting a seat by writing this review, but I hope Sabrina remembers me and I'll have one always open...
