Terrible management. We understand that the hospitality industry has been struggling to find workers since covid; however, poor management should never be an excuse. We ordered a prosciutto amore pizza and when the pizza arrived the arugula was yellow, one of my friends showed the pizza to the owner and he pushed back saying the arugula changes color when put on top of the hot pizza. This is not the first arugula pizza we’ve ordered, and the arugula in fact does change color when put over anything warm, however it does NOT turn yellow, but dark green instead. The owner offered to make us another pizza without the arugula, but we figured if that was the case we could remove the arugula ourselves as you can see in the picture. I hope the other ingredients were not as old as the arugula since we ended up eating everything else as we had small children and could not wait neither go somewhere else. It’s a shame this is how they run their business, we try to support local businesses as much as we can, but we will not be returning to Amici due to the poor management and not being able to trust the quality of the ingredients they use.

This is a medium-small sized restaurant in the Village Commons. The inside dining room is very nicely decorated, and they also have an outdoor patio overlooking the fountain. Their cuisine is Italian-American; so far we only tried a pizza (Quattro Formaggi, half of which topped with pepperoni), and I found it to be one of the best in the area. That day they also made zeppole (the pastries in one of my pics) as trial, and offered a taste of them: they were really good! They don’t have a wide selection of wines and beers, but the ones they carry are of good quality. Unfortunately, they no longer offer espresso, nevertheless I am planning on going back to try other things on their menu: the sandwiches and the salads that they were serving to other tables looked very appetizing. Their prices are very decent, the service is very fast, and the owners (who also work there) are very friendly. Although they are located in a plaza, parking may be challenging because there are so many restaurants and stores packed in the same area, but don’t get discouraged by that: this place is worth the “parking challenge”.

African American customers beware! The evening staff are completely unprofessional and racist. After I refused to engage in verbal dialogue with an aggressive male employee, he resorted to using racist microaggressions towards me. Simply ignorant, to say the least. I’ve eaten here and delivered food for them several times, but never again—much better pizza restaurants in the area with great atmospheres that actually respect their patrons. Reply: The lack of professionalism, accountability, and unethical conduct exhibited in this response further proves my point. I have no reason to fabricate my experience at this establishment or anywhere else. Your narcissistic lies and wild accusations are hysterically asinine. (See attached a photo; he is the only merchant to complain on me in five years.) The only individual who was disrespectful, argumentative, and combative is the "owner" responding to this review. Shameless and downright embarrassing for an already struggling business.

Very displeased with their customer service and my overall experience.

First, their online ordering was ridiculous, I ending up calling 3-4 to have their site explained to me. Not because I am computer illiterate but because the online ordering site made no sense.

They offer a "Lunch Special" that includes 2-slices of pizza, side salad and a soda for $6.95 but when you go to order it's actually $6.99 so this is clearly falsely advertised which is kind of against the law. You are also given an option of which toppings you'd like to include which are .75 cents per topping per slice?!? So I choose mushroom which is the only option, there is no "quantity" that you can enter and after selecting mushroom your on to choosing your salad.

When the pizza arrived (mind you two slices) only only of the slices had mushrooms which were just thrown on top of a cheese slice and visibly looked unsatisfying. The mushrooms were uncooked/raw.

We aslo requested Caesar Salads, I also called to confirm we would be getting a Caesar with romaine lettuce and NOT a house salad with Caesar dressing - I was told that it would be a Casar Salad by both the counter girl and manager. Our salads arrive.... HOUSE SALAD WITH CAESAR DRESSING!! Ugh..

They also advertise that they include a side salad as well as garlic rolls with all lunch specials.

We did not get the rolls, so I phoned them back (now my 5th call) to find out why we did not receive rolls and was able to speak to the manager who did not allow me to get a word in edgewise. He continued to speak over me without hearing my complaints or concerns. He was very disrespectful and I will NOT order from his location ever again. It's unfortunate because I work in an establishment that employees over 450 people, I will NOT recommend them for lunch to anyone.

Very displeased with service from the counter girl not knowing their system, to the system malfunctioning, to the false advertisement and...

I had ordered through Uber Eats and there was a special for buy two get one free but I felt like I didn’t do it quite right so I called the restaurant and said hey can you double check this for me and she said yes, we have the promotion and yes, it’s no problem then it comes to my house and it’s not there so I called them and I’m like do you realize it isn’t there? Oh yeah she said you opted out I was like opted out. What are you talking about first all? Why would anyone opt out of that and second of all we had an entire conversation. Then she got somebody on the phone and I hear her lying saying that she told me from the beginning that I opted out. He says Well, I only know what’s on the ticket. I said I understand that, but do you understand this was a whole conversation I had with her. I was just trying to figure ou? Seriously? what part of it was so difficult? . I worked in restaurants since I was 12 years old and I’ve managed restaurants for about 25 Years and had a restaurant Consulting company after that. The guy should’ve done what they did when they forgot my tiramisu a month or two back and said no problem we can’t bring it, but if you wanna come now or if you wanna come another day, that would be fine. I Ordered from Uber eats 13 times since November because they were a half decent Italian place Not to mention going and picking up food but there are plenty of half decent Italian places around. These restaurants have lost the ability to give customer service. I’ll never go back there again. If I were the owner, I would be furious. This is why restaurants fail. I worked for a great restaurant tour once he said we spent so much money trying to get them in here. Make sure that they have a good experience when they actually...

Yesterday I ordered delivery, a Amici special stromboli and a BOGO garlic knots/bread. Ordered delivery from slice and the total came to almost $40 including driver tip. Not only did the driver not knock on the door but left the food on the floor by the door and of course ants were crawling in the stromboli box and garlic knot bag. It was horrible! I immediately called with my disappointment to both Amici and Slice to complain of the SMALL KIDDIE SIZED STROMBOLI THAT A CHILD COULD EAT LIKE IT CAME OFF A KIDS MENU but it still costed $20. 2 grown adults couldn't even share it, it was to small and didn't even look like it was stuffed with meat and also that ants were found. I was only able to get basically half of my money back and the Amici manager basically said he couldn't do anything for me. Didn't even offer to make a new one or anything. My husband ended up just trying and heated the food. The garlic knots were horrible. It tasted like plain bread with a side of marinara, no flavor at all. The stomboli, he said, where's the meat? If you look at the menu, u'd see it's supposed to have a variety of meats and it DID NOT. He said it was bread and cheese. I'm disappointed to have paid almost $40 for plain bread and bread and cheese with ants when i couldv'e spent my money a million other places and got my money's worth. Never order delivery from here and avoid this place! They do not care about their customers. There is a pizza spot in Forest hill that I will be gladly supporting and spending my money with, they listen and appreciate their customers and there stromboli is TWICE the size as this one for the same price. Their stromboli comes in a LARGE PIZZA BOX whereas this one came in a x small box....
