My last experience was not so great, sort of, I ordered a water heater online to pick up at the store it had a little dent in it and the bottom was slightly bent. Mind you I didn't think much of it and I asked the person installing it if they thought it would be a problem seeing as it looked superficial. Once installed we realized that it obviously was not so superficial after as the unit started leaking from the top, which must mean that it was manhandled prior to me receiving it. Long story short we had to drain the unit and take it back to the store. I did speak to someone on the phone in regards to returning the unit because the toll free number listed on the product was closed. I was told a unit was available at the store and we could go pick it up. Unfortunately we didn't get all the water out of the unit as we thought we did and in the process we made a big mess in the store. The manager Fernando was very rude to me. I asked to speak to him and his reply was the water was a hazard and he would take of that first before he would speak to me, he never spoke to me but manage to have a conversation with other who asked him questions while I was still waiting for him to give me the time of day. The other staff members were more considerate and although they had paged someone in the department to help get the water heater off the shelf,he conveniently was taking a break when we got back. Another associate that was in a completely different department who I asked for help went out of his way to get the lift and take the water heater off the shelf. I really wish I could remember his name, all I can say is he was an African American, dark complexion facial hair and clean shaven head, he was wearing a dark blue shirt and black pants. Thank you sir for you help and the ladies at the service desk we very nice. Fernando was horrible and disrespectful I can totally understand that he was upset about the water but he was rude period and doubt I will go back to this location again even though it is extremely close toy home. I'll drive to university and check out the competition instead. Lowe's here I come. Added are the pictures of the condition of the first unit straight out the box and then the water leaking from the top once it...
Read moreI forgot my wallet in the store on Thursday 12/1/22. I went back to customer service for the next two days looking for and was told it wasn’t there. I was left with no ID, money or credit cards. I had to cancel a trip this week because I had no ID and no credit cards or bank cards. Today Monday 12/5/22 I get a call from Kim at the store that they have my wallet. Four days later!!! If you open my wallet my ID and driver’s license is clearly visible. Do I go to the store to get it and I’m left waiting over 10 minutes for Kim. Finally after three pages and two inter office phone calls done young kids comes to customer service with it. I’m now late for work so I say hi that’s mine. He pulls it away from me and is trying to hand it to the cashier at customer service. I say that I’m late and need to go. He says he needs to verify it’s mine. I say ok fine open it and you’ll see my Id. He says again he needs to verify. I’m standing right here. Open the wallet and look. He tells me he really doesn’t care. Wow. I snatched it off the counter and left. Corporate customer service no better. Said it was my fault for leaving it there. Corporate policy says they can call when they get around to it. Wow again. It’s not on me it’s on Home Depot for holding it for 4 days. I WENT THERE TWICE LOOKING FOR IT! I lost money on the cancelled trip, still have no credit or bank cards (I had to cancel everything and wait 5-10 business days for replacements) This store has terrible customer service. Let’s see if I get a call back from the store manager...
Read moreI use to live just a couple of blocks from this Home Depot back in the early 90's, when Home Depot was working on putting the small, independent Hardware Stores, Like Twin City Lumber out of business. It was actually a pretty good Home Depot then, They has lots of products in that store to inspire me to do home projects.
But not any more, the area has changed and a whole new population is in there now. And that's who works at this store at 1951 S State Rd 7, West Park, FL
I once needed to buy a pallet of mortar to prepare a house for painting. I made the mistake of going to this Home Depot at Pembroke Road and 441. It took over an hour to get the lazy individuals that worked there to get my pallet. And the store wasn't even busy at the time. The employees there that you would have to depend on are so slow, so disconnected and disorganized and not caring that it's not worth the time.
And four bags of mortar were torn open and leaking out. Now, I'm avoiding shopping at this Home Depot.
If I do go to a Home Depot, (instead of Lowe's) I'll drive up the Sterling Road or down to the Hialeah store on 67th ave, where there are individuals working that can actually perform their jobs.
Sure, if you know what you want and can find it and take it to the check out yourself, then OK, you'll have a good shopping experience here. But if you happen to need a large order where the store "employees" are involved, then be prepared for an aggravating time here. I can't say what I'm really thinking here because of the A.I. Overlords on...
