State Foods Supermarket — Attraction in West Sacramento

Came in today to ask if I can place an order for Carnitas for this Saturday and was quite pleased with the guy that was helping us. He was very polite and answered all our questions. The meat selection looks good and quite the variety. I was saddened though because I bought a slice of the tres leches cake to see if maybe I'd order the cake there too. On the first bite I realized it tasted weird. When I checked it I saw it had mold. It was so gross and disgusting. I went back to let them know and the manager didn't even bother to apologize. Nothing. He just gave us our money back, grunted, and walked away. The cashier had a face that seemed like she was miserable working there. Not going back and will not be ordering the carnitas there either. So sad because it seemed like a good place.

Update: Management reached out to me and apologized for my bad experience. He assured me that he will have a talk with the employees to make sure they understand good customer service. Also said they will check the cakes and coolers every morning to ensure everything is as it should be. He sounded quite sincere and sounded like he wants to make things right so I will give Arteagas...

Bad products expire candies!!! I got a Kinder chocolate from there never thougth it will be expire since the store supost to sell good product and in good conditions but no it was super expire it had green and smells super bad I took a bit with out me looking and thats how I saw it was super expire I got sick for it and when I when to the store and tell the manager she was more worry for me to take yeees take the expire chocolate away from me to get her money back from the company the chocolate was like a $1.00 she say that she will give me my $1.00 if I give it to her wooow 0 worries if I got sick if I was ok, also the prices from this store are super high and there not even to good for the price employers some are good like the guys on meat and products cashiers are rude and making always faces and trying for me to live...

Worst customer service. Management is oblivious and of no help to thier cashiers. I complained about finding packaged expired meat in the meat case before and found some again week's later and brought it to thier attention again. Never bought meat again from them but continued to purchase veggies and such. Management also skued the register in order to sell something to a customer using thier WIC card that the register was recognizing as not allowed. I believe that illeagal ans abuse of the system but im not sure about that.. After todays visit I am never going back, done giving them an...
