Merriman Hollow Park — Attraction in Westland

I found Merriman Hollow Park when I was looking for a sledding hill. It's a nice little park. It has a very small hill. The great advantage was that no one was on it. Detractions from that hill included a poorly maintained roadway parallel to the sled run and a busy traffic oval - even when the place is thick with snow! I imagine it would be very nice for a group or family picnic - but, except for the play area and rest rooms you'll need to bring seating and other...

This was a great Park. 3 different climbing apparatuses with various slides, toys, and activities. Everything was in working order. There is even a crank toy that makes animal sounds One of the grey climbing strips was disconnected and the bolts removed, but it was still functioning. Great park for older children! Some of the playscape can be dangerous for toddlers, or younge children that dont have good balance. This park does have a small playscape for younger children/toddlers but they get bored of it pretty quickly and want to climb on the big play structure.
