A wonderful Asian Market in Midway City area. They have an abundance of South Asian and SE Asian foods, including a vast fresh vegetable section as well as numerous fresh seafood. This market gets busy on the weekends, so be patient for parking and browsing around inside the market. The cashiers are always friendly and considerate. I had an eventful experience there. After paying for my items, I walked out, leaving my wallet at cashier #5's counter. Having driven 40 minutes home, I realized what I had done. I immediately called A Dong to explain my situation. The manager then inquired about my wallet to the cashier. She informed the manager that, yes, there was a wallet left behind. I was told to come back and pick it up. When I returned, sure enough my wallet and All of my money was there. I want to personally thank the honest cashier at #5 last Saturday for holding onto my wallet. And also to the market manager for following up so diligently. Kudos to the management and staff at A Dong Market for your sincere and honest attention. Read moreWhat's up with more and more supermarket posts a guard to check customer's receipt? I shopped here one time and was asked to produce receipt by the guard, he pointed to a piece of paper near the exit that asks customers to retain and produce receipts. As if they can invent or make up any law they want, my privacy be damned. I live in the US for 40 yrs, not once a supermarket has the audacity to want to see my receipt. We're Vietnamese immigrants, the least I can expect from these ignorant owners is to follow local laws while assimilate to the society.
While most of the customers produced receipts when demanded because they feel that is such a minor inconvenience. I made a point by refused to show it. A tussle between me and the guard, I challenged him to call the police, he didn't. Store manager showed up and pointed to the same piece of paper as if that granted them the authority to do what they wanted. I stood my ground and they let me go. Next time I would have to get it on tape and sue them into bankruptcy. But there will never be...

They have all of the usual and basic grocery items. Usually when I come, there are decent deals on certain groceries and a wide variety. They almost always have my mom’s favorite vegetables and greens. It is often crowded, however, and gets tough during peak times.
The meat deli counter was really crowded today and they don’t have a number system so it was pretty hectic. My mom and I waited for 10 minutes before we were helped because people kept cutting in front of us.
Compared to other supermarkets in the area, this one is actually kind of small. There are less than 10 aisles and it’s also kind of dirty. Being dirty is actually pretty normal for Asian supermarkets, but this one seems a lot dirtier than others. The parking might be difficult as well because it’s in the heart of Little Saigon, right across the Asian Garden Mall, and in a popular plaza. My family and I always manage to find a parking spot though so it shouldn’t be too big of a problem.
Overall, a...
