I use to hit up this Pho spot back in my early 20s. Lets just say I am no longer in my 20s. Anywhoo, it was just decent back then, but now, so much has changed since then and it has been a great experience.
The daughter of the owners has taken over and up everything on the menu by 100% the food and presentation taste so much better and she's focused on providing better service. She is constantly working hard to keep this restaurant alive and we should all come out to support it.
My mom had the pho and she enjoyed it very much. She ate it all by herself and didn't let me try it. hmmm... I thought we were sharing like family style...guess not haha. She mentioned she would definitely come back to eat the pho and other dishes. My mom...she doesn't really like to eat out much. She is so old fashion that she will always say, I can make that for you instead. It was a damn struggle for me to get her out for lunch to go here. But struggle no more. Now that I mention this place, she will be willing to go.
My niece also tried pho bo and she enjoyed it. We ordered the kids size and wow, they load it up! A lot of noodles and beef! My niece loved it so much, she gave it a thumbs up. We also ordered spring rolls because I had the cravings for it. My niece loves spring rolls too and couldn't wait for me to finish taking pictures so she can have a whole roll to herself. She ate that up real quick.
My sister had the Bun Bo Hue. While their chili satay wasn't spicy for us, but the flavor of the broth is delicious. She mentioned that her fiancé would love that dish.
because of the owners recommendation, I had the opportunity to try two new dishes that I have never ate before. FYI - I went to eat here more than once, I am just reviewing my whole experience during all those times. I did not eat everything in one day lol first new dish: Cha Ca Thang - I definitely didn't grew up eating this at all, but wow, it is so good! The herbs they used in the fish is so strong but flavorful. Don't mind the stinky sauce, it's delicious. second new dish: this is not really my first time trying it, but I haven't ate it in years! Bun Cha aka traditional Vietnamese meatballs that is packed with flavors.
I got to try their egg vietnamese coffee. Yummy. if you're fan of the egg coffee try it out. Try it everywhere and let me know where your favorite...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Quang Trung with my dad, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary adventure. The restaurant's inviting ambiance and friendly staff set the stage for an enjoyable evening.
My dad opted for the Bun Cha, and he was thoroughly impressed. The dish was a perfect harmony of grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, and a delectable dipping sauce. The flavors were robust and authentic, showcasing the chef's expertise in Vietnamese cuisine.
As for me, I indulged in the Bun Bo Hue, a spicy and aromatic beef noodle soup that packed a punch of flavors. The rich broth, tender slices of beef, and chewy noodles combined to create a comforting and satisfying bowl of soup. The dish was well-balanced, with the right amount of spice and a medley of textures that made each bite a delight.
What truly stood out was the freshness of the ingredients. The herbs were crisp, the vegetables vibrant, and the meats were of high quality, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to using top-notch produce.
The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal fully.
In summary, Pho Quang Trung offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more. Whether you're a fan of Bun Cha, Bun Bo Hue, or any other Vietnamese delicacy, this restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking for genuine flavors and a warm atmosphere. I highly recommend Pho Quang Trung for a memorable dining experience with family...
Read moreWe were sightseeing around various neighborhoods we hadn't visited before and hunger snuck up on us. Seeing the brightly lit sign, we wandered in, and were seated immediately. There were a few other occupied tables in the place, which was a promising sign at the odd hour we were visiting.
After perusing the incredible number of options, I decided that I simply wanted my favorite comfort food, Pho with rare beef. Raz decided to be a bit more adventurous and go for a mixed seafood and vegetable dish that I didn't manage to catch the name of.
Both meals came out quickly, and the quality was excellent. I had reason to wish I'd ordered a small bowl rather than medium as I could not quite manage to finish all of the delectable broth. Every bit of strange sea creature on Raz's plate was super fresh, as were all the bits of green, despite our visit being at the very tail end of California's long growing season.
We were suitably impressed and left full and happy. Should we be back in the neighborhood, we would...
