Electric City has come through for me on multiple pieces of vintage guitar gear and stereo equipment. It's really a one-stop shop for circuit work. Samantha knows her tube amps and got my silverface Super Reverb retubed and biased just right. It sounds so deep, alive and present! And I had worries about the filter caps, so she tested and swapped them out for a very reasonable price. She also tested the filter caps in my 80's Marshall and determined they were still in working spec so no need for any work--talk about fair! I'll be taking that one back to Samantha when it's time for new power tubes. And my 70's Sherwood receiver and Empire turntable? Electric City got both running and tuned up for a great price. One thing I love is that they bag up all the unused components and return them to the customer. I trust this place 100% with my gear. It's also a great place to shop. I picked up a pair of KLM speakers and several excellent records from their vinyl shelves (not extensive, but well curated). Electric City simply is a great mix of...
Read moreThis place is incredible - filled with vintage audio gear from the golden age of home stereo equipment. When you hear the phrase "they don't build them like they used to" this is what they're talking about. Unlike the disposable audio equipment available today, Electric City only carries audio gear that will withstand the test of time. Despite the store being incredibly busy on a weekend, the owner Eric helped me build a home stereo from the ground up, even hooking up the turntable to the receiver and speakers so I could hear how how it sounded. I had came prepared to spend significantly more than I did on the receiver, but thankfully he showed me a lesser-known brand that still produced incredible sound.
Looking inside my new receiver I can tell it has been cared for and cleaned - with no dust the electronics inside look brand new. Even if a component inside goes bad I know I'll be able to get it fixed for a fair price at Electric City. Thank you Eric, I'm excited to enjoy my new stereo setup for...

This is one of the few places left in Denver that want to have your current equipment last longer instead of selling you a newer model. I got a Hafler DH-220 re-capped and looked over. When I first took it home, a fuse had blown before I plugged it in. No matter the cause, I brought it back the next day, they moved it to the front of the workbench order and had it back to me later that day. The owner is hands on with the shop, it is apparent that they care about both the customer and the equipment.
If you need an amplifier repaired, get it done here. Understand that people are human, real life technicians work on the equipment. If, in the unlikely event a problem arises, call them and they will make sure it is handled in a Professional manner, even if in your mood you end up being an unpleasant customer.
I will be a...
