Most of the reviews on this place say the food is amazing, the staff is great, and the dining room is spotless. This was not my experience. It may have been an off-day, I don't know, but this was my experience.
Arrive 1pm on Sunday. No wait. Dining room is LOUD. The acoustics of this place suck. Floor is disgusting. Carpet is old and dirty and worn. Covered in food and straw wrappers and paper napkins, etc. Booth had recently been wiped down and the seats and table top were very wet.
Received water in a dirty glass with pieces of food floating in it. Listened to waitresses complain about their jobs and ignoring the dining room. When they finally get around to cleaning a table the use the same rag that they hang over wall that separates the dining room from the "waitress area" Observed them using the same rag to "wash" half a dozen tables. After cleaning table waitress couldn't be bothered to enact the labor of picking up the chair and putting it back, but rather decided to use one hand and a knee and kind of kick it back in place. Again, with the acoustics of the dining room, this was incredibly (and obnoxiously) loud. Incredibly apparent that the waitresses couldn't care less about customers or cleanliness.
So here's the deal, I'm probably a lot more picky that the average diner; I'll admit that. But my feeling is that if the glasses or dishes or tables or floors are gross, then you can probably expect the kitchen be the same (especially if they can't get the glasses and such clean.)
In the end, I decided not to eat. My girlfriend (who had brought me here) had pancakes and scrambled eggs and hash browns. She said it was very good. But, in my experience, the place was just too sketchy to eat at.
I don't know if anyone has ever gotten sick here but the whole experience was gross. I know this goes against the 30+ 5-star reviews this place has but I'm just saying that it is possible you might experience what I did today. So I'm writing this review as a...

We’ve been loyal patrons of Goody's Eatery for the past five years, and I can confidently say it’s the best diner in Colorado. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly and made to feel right at home.
This past Saturday(1/11), in particular, stood out as an exceptional experience. My waitress, Cyndie, handled a minor mix-up with grace and professionalism. There was a small hiccup about whether I ordered biscuits and gravy or pancakes—not a big deal—but Cyndie apologized sincerely and resolved it right away. What really impressed me was the follow-up. The manager (or owner) came over to personally apologize and even offered to bring the biscuits and gravy if I still wanted them. I declined but truly appreciated the gesture.
It’s important to call out businesses with poor customer service, but it’s even more important to recognize and celebrate businesses where the experience is phenomenal. It’s the small gestures that Cyndie made—like her genuine apology and swift correction—that turned this into a memorable customer experience.
It’s rare to see this kind of “old-school” customer service these days, where staff go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. It’s this dedication to hospitality and quality that keeps us coming back time and again.
Goody's Eatery will always have our support. If you’re looking for a diner with incredible food and service that makes you feel valued, this is the...
Read moreThe last time I came in, it was pretty packed, so the service was minimal and the food wasn’t the best. Decided to give it another shot today and was very disappointed. From the second we walked in, the service was awful. Was seated right away, but when we said “thank you” the lady said nothing and just walked away. I ordered a the chicken fried steak, which tasted fine but it was just soggy. My friend ordered a skillet, it was incredibly dry as there was no type of sauce or anything. My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs, ordered his steak medium rare and it came out well done. He tried waving down the waitress, she would look directly at him and walk away. He ended up having to walk over to her to tell her. She offered to take the steak back and get a different one. She came back less than 5 minutes later with a different steak that still was not cooked medium rare, it was well done again. He gave up and just ate it because he was starving. Service wasn’t good, food wasn’t good, the only thing good there was the prices. Would not recommend to anyone and will not be...
