Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in Westmont

I've heard of dirty parks, but I never actually been to one till this day. As soon as I sat on the bench, a mouse ran from the playground to the bushes, and I thought, OK. where outside. Could happen, right ? Till we went further into the middle part of the playground, and i panicked, picking up all the trash before one of my 3 toddlers did, then proceeded to the wooden stairs to the higher 3rd portion of the park. I am a huge fan of the parks in Westmont, mainly because my 2 boys are. They are local, well put together, clean, and have areas for multiple ages to play so that it is easy to have the younger kids not being overrun by older ones. There are also a variety of sports that can be played right next door as well. Parking can be found on both sides of the park on the street though coming in from the north side there is a small lot which can also be used. Overall, a great park...

Excellent and well kept park. The area for young kids has rubber ground and the play structures are excellent. The sandboxes are well kept. There are always maintenance workers around in the morning mowing, taking out the trash, and sweeping up. I once called the park district building to report broken glass and they came out within minutes to clean it. Highly...
