D&D Market — Attraction in Wethersfield

D&D Market is a scaled down version of the original market from Hartford. The butcher selection is always fresh and the sausage selections are impressive. The land o lake American cheese is usually on sale and has been a good teaser to get you to this establishment. Imported cheese selection is very good. This market is known for the quality deli section with just above average pricing for your everyday items like milk, eggs and tomato sauce. They do run daily specials that are worth tracking, especially the San Mariano tomato sauce. Besides the limited size of this market parking is at times difficult and can be very nerve racking trying to back into traffic....

Customer service is lacking. Second time I have been in the store and had the same cashier, she is an older woman who is rude. I was purchasing a pizzelle maker, the first thing out of her mouth was you know this is not returnable right?!? I was confused as to why I was greeted that way, as I had no intention of returning it. I was told that the lasagna noodles with a sticker saying $3.19 were actually $5.99. I did not question it. It appears new staff is needed to make sure the proper price stickers ate on items and to make sure they have better customer service. I will...

I just discovered D&D Market for the first time since I was a little girl living on Franklin Ave 1966-1972. My mother and grandmother used to bring me along weekly. We used to walk a few streets down from Adelaide St. Wow! Flashback! I was looking for a delicious truffle cheese and thought I would check out this market unbeknownst to me until 10 minutes ago that it was the same as Franklin Ave. I live in Branford and will definitely travel up to do more shopping!
