This is a real gem!! I wouldn't drive from far, but for those in Weymouth and Hingham, this is a delightful hidden treasure! It has the perfect trails for a leisurely walk or a quick run (totally doable with kids and dogs- probably a little too short for adults to bike), that varies in view from meadow, forest, view of the water, to the Boston skyline at the very tip. The benches are plentiful, in excellent condition, and well spaced and well-placed! There are picnic tables at the front, but also further into the trail as well. One has a lovely view of the water and skyline! There are several openings onto the rocky "beach" where you could swim if you wanted to or sit near the water and watch the boats go by. It also has history! I love that the restrooms are clean, stocked, easy to get to, and they've been consistently open until 5pm or later in August and September, at least. Many people come for sunset, so the parking lot can fill up quickly. Popular spot for family or senior photos as well. The trails are mostly small gravel or dirt- doable for medium to heavy duty strollers. I have spent hours here recently because it is just an all-around perfect little spot to walk,...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at Webb Memorial State Park on 8/17/25. My family, including three small children, set up at two picnic tables on the far right side of the park — not within the pavilion’s reserved area. The official reservation page clearly lists only 6 tables and 2 grills as part of the pavilion, all of which were already being used by the reserving party. We were on separate tables outside of that space.
Despite this, the party reserving the pavilion demanded we leave and called Park Supervisor Jamie Graham, who sided with them without knowing the actual rules. Instead of checking the reservation details, he harassed us, threatened to call the police, and then did so, forcing us to leave unfairly. This was humiliating and stressful, especially with our young children.
The park supervisor needs better training and education on the rules so families are not wrongfully intimidated out of public areas that should remain open...
Read moreA great place to go for a walk to help clear your mind. Or to take your sweetheart since the paths are surrounded by lush wildflowers, trees & bushes filled with shades of green. All paths are topped w stone dust so it's a good place for a run Extremely dog friendly (bring your own bags for cleanups) And it's best feature is you are always by the ocean (North Weymouth's peninsula) w the Boston skyline from miles across the open sea as a rewarding view & memorial benches that allow you to grab a seat & take it all in. Great for families w it's built in charcoal grills, picnic tables and a large wooden shelter on a cement patio on the left side of the beginning of the park. Parking is free but can be limited during the warmer months. It has its very popular days but even then...
