Starbucks — Restaurant in Hingham

I just recently found the Hingham Shipyard Starbucks location in November of 2024. I think it was built-out over the summer of 2024 and truthfully I really wish I found out that it existed on the day they opened their doors. It has easily become my new favorite Massachusetts Starbucks location. I have been a regular Starbucks drinker for 10+ years and have traveled quite extensively so I have a solid experience to draw upon. The Shipyard location is larger than your typical Massachusetts Starbucks with nice high ceilings and good decor. The leather seating is vast and comfortable. The bathrooms are multiple person occupancy which can be a plus for any coffee shop and save you from having to do the awkward waiting for the bathroom dance if you know what I mean. It is a Starbucks like any other. What differs from others is the service, and the service here is not good.

I went in with my service dog to ask for a specific drink. The attendant said that drink was not being served anymore, and immediately said that dogs were not allowed. To which I replied, thank you and left.

I understand that some establishments have stricter rules when it comes to service animals, but the fact that he was so quick to dismiss me and the dog was a little surprising.

My problem with this location is that the workers always mess up my order. They either give me regular cold foam instead of salted caramel which has happened many times. They have made my refreshers with water when specified that I wanted lemonade too. They ALWAYS forget my cinnamon powder. I had to stop ordering frappes here because they would use dark caramel in my drink and it would make me nauseous. However, they do fix the issue, but other workers will side eye you and make you feel like you’re doing something wrong when you want to fix your almost $8 drink. Big location,...
