I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wahlburgers and indulging in a selection of their mouthwatering burgers. From the first glance, it was clear that these burgers were crafted with care and an eye for delicious detail.
Classic Cheeseburger The classic cheeseburger was a sight to behold, with its perfectly melted cheese draped over a juicy beef patty. The fresh lettuce and thick slice of onion added a crisp texture that complemented the richness of the beef. Each bite was a delightful blend of savory meat, creamy cheese, and refreshing vegetables. It's the kind of burger that reminds you why you love burgers in the first place.
The Super Melt Next up was the grilled cheese burger, which took a creative twist on the traditional burger. Sandwiched between two slices of golden, buttery toast, the patty was packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the melted cheese and caramelized onions. This burger managed to capture the essence of comfort food, delivering a nostalgic yet innovative experience.
Double Decker For those who crave a bit more, the double cheeseburger did not disappoint. Stacked with two beef patties and layers of gooey cheese, this burger was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. The combination of the well-seasoned beef and the creamy cheese was simply irresistible, making it a top choice for anyone with a hearty appetite.
Crispy Chicken Sandwich Lastly, the crispy chicken sandwich offered a delightful alternative for non-beef lovers. The chicken was fried to perfection, boasting a crunchy exterior that gave way to tender, juicy meat inside. Paired with fresh lettuce and a slice of tomato, this sandwich was both satisfying and refreshing.
Overall, Wahlburgers delivered an exceptional burger experience. Each item was carefully crafted, balancing flavors and textures to create a truly memorable meal. Whether you're a fan of the classics or looking to try something new, Wahlburgers has something to offer for every...
Read moreI have gotten my 5 year old food from here 3 times one dine in and twice take out. He has a dairy & egg allergies I’ve stated it every time we have gone here & a manager has came and told me he couldn’t have the burger buns they contain dairy so we always get kids burger no cheese no bun. Tonight we did take out I stated numerous times my son has a dairy & egg allergies no burger bun and no cheese. Well his kids meal burger and fries the burger was on a bun. When I confronted the employees that I said no bun that I was told numerous times that a manager has told me they contain dairy two employees Kristen I believe her name was and a male employee whose name I didn’t get because I was so mad told me they don’t I said I asked for no bun and stated he has a dairy and egg allergy so she takes the box out of my hand and says I will tell them make a new one she tells the male worker he brings it to the person behind the counter and they take the burger off the bun and puts the burger and the fries in another container and hands it back I said no it don’t work that way this isn’t a new burger and fries like he has an allergy you can’t just take it off and it’s ok. The girl tried to argue with me so I said if my son has an allergic reaction that’s a lawsuit since I stated he has an allergy and you failed to acknowledge it. So she try’s to grab the food out of my hand I said no I’m done here so I went out to my car and sent my husband back in. They said oh we tried to make it right and he said yes after she threatened a lawsuit if my son has an allergic reaction. So my husband had them make new food and stood at the counter to watch them make it. I’m highly disappointed in the service tonight and made the decision to not return again. Also the male was to busy talking and could care less that my son could have had an allergic reaction. I will also be calling the restaurant tomorrow to speak...
Read moreI think this sums it up well: when I told people I had my first "Wahlburgers Experience" today, they ask expectantly, "how was it," and I answer, "better than Friendly's?"
The good: It's a local family chain that appears to take pride in their roots, as with the menu item, "OFD - Originally from "Dorchestah," and with listing family members' favorites. That's great stuff.
The menu is focused, which usually means the restaurant has opted to make a few things, and to make them very well, versus the Cheesecake Factory approach which seems to entail giving you a phone book-sized menu of options, none of which ever seem to be really good.
There's no overkill on trying to sell merchandise related to their TV show.
It's a good family vibe that's totally appropriate for kiddos and a menu that reflects that. Loved hearing a little girl say to her Dad before ordering, "Can I have the Mac & Cheese again? I loved it last time ..."
They serve an Impossible Burger, and I immediately appreciate any growing business - particularly one focused on serving meat - that includes a plant-based protein burger on their menu.
The not-so-good: The Sunday lunchtime waitstaff all seemed so awkward (sorry) with confusing patrons' orders, not making eye contact, not engaging, etc.
And for the food, if two people order their burgers medium at a restaurant whose specialty is burgers, and they're delivered without even a trace of pink (please see posted picture), there's a definite disconnect somewhere between the server, the chef, and my plate that results in my getting a less awesome meal. Sigh.
Oh, and could you please put at least one IPA on the menu?
Summary: Not a place to which I would hurry to return, but definitely a place I'd be willing to try again to see if the first time was an aberration. Everyone...
