This place is filled with scratched, out-dated and irrelevant junk.
I can literally go to any brand name furniture retailer and buy higher quality furniture BRAND NEW.
This place wants $100+ for a plastic planter and stand and when I found it online for less than $40.
Same for the shelving, they claim they have multiples of (one display and several in stock) and charge hundred of dollars for outdated and worn wood, there’s a carpenter right down the road who does custom pieces, significantly higher quality and much more satisfying work, I’d drop $2,000 for quality work, shelving, this place just smacks you in the mouth and expects you to accept their trash.
For whatever is “vintage”. It’s….alright? They maybe have 2 or 3 pieces that are actually reasonably priced but they are not vintage, but definitely play the part it doesn’t really make me feel really well when I walk in and am told everyone is 20% off, owner must be losing money on a lot of product. Seems they upgraded stores and are trying to make up for it and as well as the price of stock, it’s clearly a failing business and I’m a little embarrassed to have payed attention to it.
You can’t really expect much from this store, it isn’t impressive except for the onslaught of disappointment. The manager I assume or unfortunately for her, the owner, tried to tell me a portrait was silk when it was obviously polyester print, who are you kidding?

They quoted a Rowe sofa for $3600. I called another local Rowe dealer to price check, and they quoted $1550. both prices included freight and the exact same material. $2050 price difference for the exact same sofa, are you kidding me?? Before finding out about the price issue, I asked for paint color/design recommendations. I was told there was a $99 consultation fee to visit my townhouse, which I agreed to. I also asked for a quote for painting all rooms while she was doing the consultation, which she agreed to do. but then after the consultation, i was only given an estimate on the paint job. When I followed up asking for a firm quote, she said she needed to go back with the painter, but would charge another $135 for the trip! This was supposed to be included in the original $99, but she never gave the quote, then wanted to charge more money for what she was supposed to do in the first place. Also, throughout the process, she was very slow to responding with follow up with emails, etc.. and I had to follow up each time in order to get a response. she then told me " my focus is managing the store, these consultations come after that work is completed." of course she never told me this in the beginning, only after the fact. One of these delays caused major scheduling problems with my carpet installer..

My experience with ModMood has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution. I purchased a dining table based on a sales representative's assurance that replacing the glass top with a different shape would be a simple and affordable process. This turned out to be a blatant misrepresentation. The actual cost of replacement was exorbitant, more than half the price of the table itself.
To compound this issue, ModMood failed to clearly disclose their "all sales are final" policy before I made the purchase. This critical information was only presented after the transaction, essentially trapping me in a deal built on false pretenses.
Despite the fact that the furniture has never left their showroom, ModMood is insisting on a 25% restocking fee for a refund. This is not a case of buyer's remorse; I am seeking a refund because the product was misrepresented, and a key sales policy was deliberately withheld.
ModMood's business practices are deceptive and their customer service is appalling. They prioritize their own policies over ethical sales conduct and customer satisfaction.
