Taco Rico has some of the best and most authentic Mexican food I have tried in Denver. Their food is delicious, flavorful, and fresh, and the service is friendly and welcoming. My husband and I took our 10 month old twins with us to eat here. The staff was so kind to the babies and brought them little plates of rice to eat while we waited for our food. We didn’t order kids meals for the babies, as we had planned on sharing our meals with them, but when our food was delivered each baby was given a little plate with a chicken nugget and some fries. It was such a kind gesture, not to mention the babies loved their little meals. The Mexican street tacos are stellar and the burritos are delicious, flavorful, and filling without being sickeningly greasy and heavy. Their homemade salsas are fantastic, with the highlight being a creamy, smoky sauce that compliments the tacos perfectly. The atmosphere is very casual but fun and lively. It reminds me of a taqueria that you’d find in Mexico City, complete with a good variety of Mexican beers and a little market with snacks. This place is a hidden gem and...

I was in the area and stopped in on a whim to check this place out. Ordered a grande breakfast burrito to go, while waiting a nice man came and asked me if it’s my first time there? “Yes as a matter of fact it is” I replied. He proceeds to go behind the counter and whip up an amazing taco for me to try (for free) while I waited for my burrito. Very nice gesture and the taco was legit! Earned my business right out the gate. When I got home and tried out the burrito, it too was awesome! Fresh ingredients, seasoned well, and hot! Someone over there really understands...

Horribly prejudiced individuals. I may not be able to speak Spanish fluently, but from working on construction sites I understand Spanish well. The workers here like to talk crap about anyone who comes in who's not Hispanic in Spanish because they think the people they're talking about don't understand them. I saw a white guy putting food out for the homeless and one of their cleaner guys came out and threw it all in the trash it wasn't even in front of their restaurant it was off to the side out of the way and they just threw it...

Ate there because of the reviews and have no idea how you could rate this place more than 2 stars. I'll start with the pictured "queso fundido." True fundido should be a bubbling mix of assorted cheeses and this was the same flavor of pump cheese you would get from a 7-11. The consistency was watery. I also got a smothered burrito with a very bland green chile sauce, no spice, filled with mushy rice and generally fatty, chewy al pastor, they tasted nothing like the real pastor you will find at a number of authentic restaurants around town.

I would absolutely drive 40 minutes out of my way for these tacos! This place is my new favorite taco joint in the area! The Al pastor and carnitas were amazing, the house sauces did not disappoint, the prices were reasonable and the staff was really friendly and accommodating. There were so many wonderful looking items on the menu it was hard to decide. Next time I am totally getting a pupusa!
