The Memorial Beach Park is a nice location to hang out for an afternoon in the summer. It has a small, sandy beach and remains quite shallow pretty far out, so it is a really safe swimming area for the kids and family. There are a couple of picnic tables available as well and a volleyball area set up to one side. I will say that there are no swimming markers out in the water, so this year there has been a significant number of boats pulling up and anchoring off shore. This has made the swim area more crowded and noisy, has increased the amount of debris in the water and, in my opinion, has made the beach a little harder to enjoy with kids and family than in the past. It is still a nice beach, though, with easy access to the Ramsey County Park, the White Bear exercise path and downtown White Bear Lake. Parking is somewhat limited, though there is parallel parking available on 10th and 11th Street. Alternatively, the Ramsey County Beach, which is a short walk up the path, has a very large...
Read moreGood beach area that is great for wading and swimming. Sand feels good on feet and the water is shallow. Could use a little clean up and there is no lifeguard. Great volleyball court that is sandy and large. Bathroom is nice and clean. Beach is pretty busy so parking is sometimes limited, but side street parking is around the area. Towards the night it gets very buggy. Picnic tables are super nice to use and serve as a sweet place to have a picnic. Lots of space around and a cool park just up from the beach. Another great feature is the shower and foot washing station. You can easily clean your feet or rinse off. Quick walk from downtown and a quaint beach that is right on...
Read moreNice beach, especially for little kids. Shallow a long way out, hard sand bottom, clean lake with no fishy odors. Swimming area is defined with bouys and the shallow part is roped off to keep boats out. Bathroom clean and redone not long ago. Parking is on street (parallel parking) around park above and limited; one way traffic on 2 sides makes getting there a bit challenging. There is a road/walking trail dividing beach from the park above and quite an decline, with ramp for handicapped or strollers. Features grassy shaded areas under trees and sandy Beach to build castles in, also had a volleyball court with grass. No...
