Cajeta Coffee — Restaurant in White Bear Lake

I was in White Bear Lake for business and found this gem driving down 4th St! There were several other coffee shops well within minor walking distance with good reviews, however this coffee shop had impeccable reviews and unique Mexican coffee beans!

The shop is inside the Avalon Mall on the first floor. Upon entering I found it to be a quaint and peaceful coffee shop. I was greeted immediately upon walking in. I ordered my normal latte and one of their strawberry Mexican sweet breads (concha).

Found this place while walking around downtown WBL. The café is situated inside a historic building so pay attention to the signs. Their name is on the theater marquee so look for that. The space is cozy, with a rustic kind of cave appeal accented by their stone wall. We were planning on walking around with our coffee but saw that they had some Mexican pastries. The cajeta latte is pretty much perfect - not too sweet, not too heavy, great slightly-smoky caramel flavor. The staff is wonderful, the space inside is really cozy, and the menu is refreshingly simple. Amenities include Wifi, ~6 dining tables and some armchairs, high chairs for little ones, and a self-serve water pitcher.
