This is the second week after purchasing a fairly nice LG front load washer and dryer on pedestals. Got them home, hooked up, after the 3rd load of clothes in the dryer, the main board went out. Called to let the store know, sent a guy to look at them within a few days. The repairman beat up the top lid of the dryer, two huge dents, several scratches, and a screw left out after putting it back together. His drill fell off the top of the dryer, went tumbling across our tile floor and smashed into the cabinet. After a week waiting on the part to some in, was told would get a call by Thursday, hadn't heard anything so called Saturday morning and it did in fact in, just haven't gotten a call to setup the repair. Now at the 2 weeks later, after washing 2 pairs of pants, was smelling something burning, come out to check what it it was, opened the washer door and smoke come pouring out. Asked the gentleman about thier process of what they do when stock comes in, if they check them out, was told he was not going to discuss that with me and not my business. So now we are unable to use either washer or dryer, only been 2 weeks, and I need my work clothes washed. They made us make a payment on the on them before sending the repair guy which we haven't used cause they weren't working. The repair guy came out to replace the main board for the dryer which did not work either. He also said the box wasn't the box the part came in and he had it on his dash in his van. Replaced the door seal at the same time and didn't bother to test the washer before leaving. We went to turn on the washer and it now wouldn't come on leaving us with an unusable washer and dryer. Called the store right away and went round and round that we have some sort of electrical issue and they arent going to keep throwing parts at good appliances. Mind you for years prior the washer and dryer had worked in the same place as the ones from DT's. We just decided to get somethjng newer and what we thought was going to be better. Now imagine this, an honest mistake could have been made by not plugging something back in on the washer could have caused it not to work, afterall, he did had to take the front of the washer apart including the panel. Used DT's in the past and had a great wonderful experience from the pawnee and Seneca location, sadly no longer there, this time at the west street store has become the worst nightmare. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. After taking back the unusable washer and dryer and going elsewhere, the brand new washer and dryer work just fine proving there is nothing wrong with power or any...
Read moreUsed moldy fridge arrived completely unusable with mold inside the ice maker and water spouts. Came with an unusable water filter full of what appeared to be rust and or mud. Blades on the ice maker to make chips were brown and rusted, leaving flakes of brown as you use it in a white cup. And the icing on the cake would be the used roach trap it came with full of dead bugs. Major health hazard is currently sitting in my garage waiting to be picked back up because I don't trust it inside my living space or around my dog. I don't recommend this place to anyone and will spend some money in the future trying to make sure they can't do this to anyone else needing help. This would land you in the hospital if you used it without thoroughly inspecting and disassembling yourself to double check everything they claimed to have already done. With pics and vids loaded to multiple social networking sites and people I've spoken to with similar problems, I don't see how they're still around. A Styrofoam cooler is a better choice than anything slightly used they can come up with resembling a refrigerator. Just screams lawsuit...... added after response. - - It wasn't up to customer satisfaction. He hadn't seen it, taking someone's word over the phone trying to get it to me as fast as possible since I'm a type one diabetic needing a fridge for insulin.... Nobody has any desire to use it or come back for more business in the future. ...
Read moreToday I hobbled in with my oxygen machine and cane and the girl with the dog opened the door for me. She was smiling and talkative. Her brother didn't remember me from the former East side store when the father was running the business but he was friendly, if busy. I've seen him a little bit cranky when he's overworked, can't get good stuff or help, but today was a good day. The inventory looked good. There was a wide variety from which to choose, and as long as they have them they sell separate appliances as well as pairs. I found some really good-looking ones and a few older "well-used" ones with their badges of dents or rust. They still work though, and were priced accordingly. I really liked a white set there and almost bought the two for $275 but I have to wait until my existing ones die. I bought them at DT's back when they had the East store. It's been my experience they are usually courteous, polite, eager to help, and they have their bad days like everyone else. The little dog is inquisitive and you might be able to use him as a human resources interviewer. Never do business with someone your dog doesn't like? Humor aside, he was on a leash and he was interested in smelling my shoes. Since I don't have a dog or a cat the dog probably liked me. I'll buy my next...
