I just had my daughter's birthday party at Urban Air Wichita and this place is way over-priced for what you receive. You cannot bring your own outside food or drink, just the birthday cake, cupcakes etc. Included in the price of your party, which ours was a party of 10 children, they each get a bottle of water. The water is gone before you even eat because of course the kids have been jumping. I wasn't about to add another $3.00 per kid for a Gatorade or Slushie when I could have spent $2.00 on a box of 10 juice pouches had I been allowed to bring them in. The party was from 6-8... dinner time, so I wanted to feed the kids. Again, no outside food or drink so I paid $13.00 per large pizza, times 4 so $52.00 in pizza when I could have brought in my own for $32.00. The kids couldn't do the ropes because I wasn't adding on another $50 for that attraction. I was charged for a child that actually didn't jump. Balloons, plates and napkins were included but they were generic and plain, the plates and napkins were white with nothing on them. The "GLOW Party Table" base price is $225.00...that's $22.50 per child!!!!!! $17.00 for each additional jumper!!! For only 1 1/2 hrs of jumping!!! If it included that pizza and some actual drinks, some happy birthday plates and napkins... maybe I'd be okay with that price but all in all I feel like I paid a total of $360.00 for a picnic table and some over-priced pizza. I won't name them but there are cheaper places that offer way more than this. I tried it because it was my daughter's first big birthday party and she really wanted it here but now I know why I've steered clear of paying an actual birthday party fee. Better off to just take a few friends to open jump and have food, cake and...
Read moreWe bought our tickets online, the price was definitely higher than we thought it would be. A family of 5, tickets cost over $100, that's with two half price parent tickets and a toddler ticket. The socks are sold separately but are mandatory, which is understand, but I feel they should have been included with the entry ticket. We booked two ultimate tickets for our boys, never thought about the height requirement because the website didn't put much emphasis on it. We get there, the staff is super friendly, everything goes smoothly. There's a huge zip lining obstacle course that's only available for the ultimate pass. Naturally my kids are super stoked to go on it. They go up to the attendant, only to be told that they are five and two inches too short. This zip line course is literally half of the building, kids are bummed but go on the rock climbing wall instead, which they only needed to be 41 inches or taller for. There was only one staff member to help the lids with the rock climbing, which led to some wait times whule the kids were tethered up to courses already. The whole thing did kind of sour the mood for a bit, but we got over it. Overall, it was fun for the kids, the mats did look a bit dingy for a week day, and there wasn't much available staff in the courses to maintain a steady flow. Due to the price alone we probably will not be a frequent patron. Hopefully when my kids are a wee bit taller it will be much more...
Read moreSave your money and go to aviate (Wichita sports forum) We paid online for our 44 inch tall 5 yr old to participate. The pricing for the 5 year old says ‘attractions based on child’s height.’ Imagine my surprise to learn we had to pay more for him to participate on other activities he was tall enough to do because their website leaves off key information regarding ultimate vs deluxe attractions. When I explained this to the manager he explained it’s because ‘most 5 year olds don’t meet the 41 inch requirement so it’s usually not an issue’. My son isn’t abnormally tall at 44inches but rather average. Fast forward I paid more for him to do rock climbing for him to wait 40minutes for someone to leave the course allowing a spot for him, they closed the course 5minutes later. This wasn’t because of a long line but strictly because kids were given unlimited time in the area and his chance only came at random. I did fill in the manager with my frustration allowing him an opportunity to correct the issue/refund me the wasted money without resolution. I don’t usually complain but this is our first time here and I really hate wasting money, no matter how little or small the amount be. Very disappointing. Don’t waste your time or money here. It’s very flashy and pretty but just not as fun or inclusive as Aviate is...
