Western Holiday Motel — Hotel in Wichita

I asked the owner to check in early, noon, which he did. The first place I stopped, so, I stayed. And signed up for two nights. And needed two more nights. But not here. The room was so smoked up that the cleaning lady had to spray, and I burned incense but nothing helped. I checked out the next day. The wife tried her best to cheat me out of my money, but the husband, to his credit, refunded my money. I suppose the problem is that people from India do not have cleanliness values that we Americans have. The bed was mildewed, the box springs looked as though it was retrieved from the local dump. The next day, I had to have all my clothes, shirts included, 7 of them, dry cleaned to remove the smoke smell. A car wash business was allowed to operate in front of the room door, families in front of the doors packing and re packing, fridge did not work and the mgr looked at it and did nothing, filthy carpet, sometimes we make bad decisions on where to stay. This place looks average pulling up to it, the guy is friendly, we talked about our fathers (watch the wife though), but the rooms are worse than dirty. I don't see how the place stays in business. I could not get out of there fast enough, I tried to make it work, but filth and smoke is...

we started out in a room with a king size bed . but had to be moved due to a huge crack in the bathtub , front desk guy said it was just a small crack ( my husband has big hands ) but the crack was big enough he could fit his hand thru . so we were showed a room with two full size beds , clearly that wouldnt work for us not to mention the air conditioning didnt work . so the clerk come back with a key for yet another room , which was one with a king bed , full size refrigerator and a stove ( to be honest was to scared to use the stove ) which is much better but it doesnt have a huge crack in the tub . somewhat clean , at least has clean sheets on the bed . we most certainly will not be staying at this motel again , if we werent so tired we wouldnt be staying tonight . save yourself some headache and DO NOT stay here ,...

Only reason why 2 stars was applied was cuz they were okay with my late payment for room with no fees. Aside from the updated flat screen TV.. This place was horrible. Over priced rooms that are clearly unkempt and seems untouched by the housekeeper. Dirt on walls.. Bedding seemed stained and the bed protector needed its own protection. The carpet smelled of animal urine and the lock on the door had previously been kicked in and just turned in a complete circle when I tried to unlock it. If the end tables had an original color or finish it would've been hard to guess what color it was cuz of all the cigarette burn marks. Some drawers in the dresser were screwed shut and there were no handles to open the "functioning" ones anyway. Horrible place and oddly enough I expected a decent room for...
