Long Leaf Park Playground — Attraction in Wilmington

My kids favorite and a fantastic playground that is plenty big and versatile to keep children of any age entertained. Expect the park to be busy any time of day in nice weather. There is plenty of room to run and play with multiple slides, obstacles, swings, climbing areas, a musical station, zip line swing, and some educational game boards. There is handicapped access, even a special swing. See pictures. There are public restrooms, not the cleanest but they have baby changing stations. Plenty of benches with a good view of the playground. Dogs are not allowed but some people bring them anyway especially late in the evening. You also never know what you're going to see. If you're going with a younger kid, don't forget a bathing suit and towel. The splash pad was the highlight for my toddler. The playground is also spacious, allowing lots of kids without all of them bumping into each other. Awesome playground! This park is in a beautiful location, sheltered by many pines.
