A wonderful experience with the Wilmington NC store on Oleander. . Im writing this because the team at Your Pie really understands customer service and they deserve a shout out. After struggling with Door Dash’s app and not being able to add a topping to the build your own pie, I tried adding green peppers to a pepperoni pizza. DD just wouldn’t accept anything so I called Your Pie directly and Paul tried to help me get through placing my order. The app was definitely messed up but I placed my order with the choices being as close as the app permitted. Paul kindly agreed to add green peppers to the pepperoni pie and all was good. An hour passed and the phone rang. It was …. I think he said Matthew, and he was calling to let me know that Door Dash had not picked up my order yet ….but he called them and they said they’d send someone over immediately. In the meantime, Matthew was having two fresh pies made. When the order did arrive there was an extra pizza included and two warm cookies. Matt did say he was going to send the extra pizza along and we could just put it in the fridge and eat it tomorrow. The cookies were a bonus! The pepperoni/green pepper pie was delicious but the star of the show was the pepperoni hot honey pie with peppadew peppers. Nice fresh crust with a bit of a crunch enveloping each tender, chewy bite. Sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes and the balance of toppings was perfect (on both).
Thank you to the team at Your Pie. Not only did you come through with a delicious product but you took care of a problem that you had no culpability in. That folks is customer service and I am a...
Read moreI had to come here to pick up a door dash order for a customer. My app told me that the customers order would be ready by 7:06pm. So I went into the store a little early to let them know that I was hear waiting. I'm not sure who the gentleman was that helped me but I think he was the manager of some kind. I had seen him there before (and he was rude then too). He told me that he had until 7:15 before my order was due and that there were 3 other people before me that were going to be receiving their food first. He made it sound like it was going to be a long wait and I should just leave. So I simply said, "ok, I'll just cancel it then". He apparently thought that I was going to cancel the customers order and got angry and yelled, "so your going to cancel the order!". I turned around and told him, "no, I'm going to unassign myself so that doordash will send someone else because I didn't want to wait 20 minutes for food to be completed. " He then proceeded to yell at me while I was walking out the door stating that I was canceling the order because I didn't want to wait 5 minutes for the customer's food to be completed. This is not the first time that I have seen this manager be rude to customers and employees. The last time I had a doordash order for this restaurant he stood back there and yelled at one of his employees the entire time I waited for the order. The store is very unfunctional. And their management is extremely rude! Not sure who owns this restaurant but they may want to take a deep dive into their...
Read moreI honestly wasn’t sure how to rate this restaurant because we love the food— but we went back for the first time since they have reopened under new ownership and the experience was not pleasant. The staff all seemed pretty new and I have no problem being patient with them when they’re doing their best. They were all kind and our food came out great. However… the owner really turned us off. We walked in to find him visibly angry/annoyed with the staff for an order that had been made wrong. I’m sure he was dealing with a frustrated customer and I know that’s not easy, but he was reprimanding the staff in front of the customers. I could see the employees were getting upset and/or embarrassed and it distracted them from their current tasks (making our food) so they had to continue to ask us to repeat ourselves. It was a very uncomfortable and tense atmosphere. After we finished eating and were getting gelato, the situation must’ve been solved because his tune quickly changed to pleasant as he asked how our food was.
I can’t pretend to understand how hard it is to be a new business owner and I’m sure he was just having an off day. Unfortunately that frustration and bad day was taken out on his (mostly young) employees and not done in private or appropriately. As much as we love this place and their food, I don’t know when or if we will be going back. The employees really...
