Food is great but occasionally the cook doesn't cook the meat as requested!
The statement I made above is from 7 months ago. Well, this evening I called in an order with tacos and cueritos and specified to please make sure they were "WELL, WELL DONE"! The lady taking my order laughed and I laughed along with her but we both understood that I wanted them well done. About 15 minutes later I arrive to pick up my order and sure enough the food is not "well done"! I take the food and receipt back in and ask them to please cook them well done, that the receipt shows well done also! The younger guy that spoke English took my food and began to hand it to the cook to prepare correctly. About 5 minutes goes by and the younger guy lets me know that the food is ready. I check the food before I leave and only the tacos are well done but not the cueritos? I showed the cueritos to the lady at the register and showed her that these were not well done and ask if they could cook them well done? The younger guy has come back by this time and she begins to speak Spanish to him and he tells me that they can't prepare my food as I requested because they had already added all the stuff on top of it (lettuce, cheese, and cream). It's plainly obvious that the meat is not well done because it looks pale and nowhere near brown or tan looking. So I asked them were they willing to loose a customer because they didn't want to prepare food as the customer requested? The guy just kept telling me they couldn't fix the food as I had asked because the toppings were on it and I'm gona guess that's what she was telling him to say also because I don't understand Spanish. This lady has been there ever since I started coming here about 2 years ago. She's Hispanic lady with her hair always in a ponytail and kinda shorter than the other ladys that's been at the registers. So to boil all this down, they told me that they screwed up my order and are only going to fix half of the order as requested because they added toppings to my cueritos? Now let me also mention that no one was waiting to place an order and they sure were not busy at the time I ask to have my food cooked as requested. As a business owner myself, I couldn't imagine telling my customer that they can't have something the way they requested from the beginning because I already screwed it up with the way I wanted to do it! Whoever the owners are of this business needs to teach your employees how to keep the customers happy so they keep coming back. If you want to charge more for making food well done then so be it but to just bluntly tell a customer "No" they are not gonna prepare the food as originally ordered is just plain wrong! You have lost a customer here. I will not be returning because food can not be prepared as requested. This is so sad because the food really taste great but have awful staff...
Read moreALLERGIC REACTION PLEASE READ Just ate from here. I ordered from DoorDash for the first time. I asked for a fajita quesadilla with nothing but only lettuce, chicken, and guacamole inside since I have a stomach condition I always try to be as specific as possible. There was only chicken inside the quesadilla and the lettuce salad with the guacamole was on the side. I didn’t mind this, but when I ate it it was spicy. I AM ALLERGIC TO HOT PEPPERS. I called to let them know. I didn’t want my money back nor was I trying to get free food or anything. I just wanted to let them know for the next time I call to order. When I let the lady know on the phone she didn’t even let me talk and accused me that I did the order wrong that if I open my order the stuff is on the side and that it’s not her fault. She was so rude. I’m not sure what her problem is but one of my worst experiences here. I will also be saving my food and contacting the health department to let them know I had an allergic reaction at the restaurant and how they handled it when I called. I will also be calling DoorDash to get a complete copy of my...
Read moreThere is no lower score to give these folks. My menudo was bitter as if the peppers used to make it had been burned. The tortillas were not good at all. The worst part was the menu, there is one on top of the counter where one would place the order, and this is about 3 or four feet from the door. If one is with a party of four or more people this is very uncomfortable, not to mention the sourpuss they have at the counter who is so quick to dismiss you.
The online menu leaves experience also leaves much to be desired. The only way they would see my face again is if I had to use the bathroom and there was no other place with a working toilet nearby. For them to get my money for their bad food and even worse service, the oceans would have to fry up, the ground would not have any weeds or grass I could chew and other food options would also have to be exhausted!
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy much less someone I care for.
If you think that is what Mexican food is supposed to taste like, you are in for a huge surprise when you taste something good with...
