Lyons Optometry — Attraction in Windsor

I spend a fair amount of money on optical products. Every year. In particular I buy the best lenses that I can find, generally with every available option.

My very excellent optician suggested that I find an optometrist which offered higher-end lenses than she was able to offer, and I went to Lyons for the first time for lenses. I had a $350 pair of Silhouette frames that I had used for less than a year and I wanted to reuse the frames. That didn't go over very well. The person who was helping me let me know that she didn't think very much of that approach.

I spent more than $900 on the lenses. When I went in to pick them up The person across the counter pretty much shoved the box containing the glasses at me and said, "there you go thanks bye." Again they made it clear that since I didn't buy frames I shouldn't expect any attention, or any service.

Last comment: it seems that a theme at Lyons is showing lots of cleavage. I'm a guy who likes looking at women, but I expect my optical shop to be a professional place of business. This is a transaction that I take very seriously. The presentation of the staff is cheap.

Ruined a pair of glasses and wouldn’t do warranty work.Lindsey was rude to us when I was trying to get them to fix the glasses and treated us like we weren’t worth her time.

My son has a visual processing disorder and is sensitive to light, Dr. Lyons forced his eyelid to stay open while shining light directly into his eye (even though he was trying to close his eyes) and now he has permanent blurry vision.

We never went back after such bad experiences but keep receiving emails about scheduling appointments even though I’ve sent them to spam and unsubscribed over and over. There used to be other bad reviews on here but looks as though they have been removed some how. I can’t be the only one with a bad...

Awesome place!! Very welcoming and friendly staff! clean and safe environment . Beautiful store . Great selection of glasses . Dr. Lyons was super nice. She made me feel welcome while taking the time to give me the best eye exam and thoroughly explained everything to me while never rushing. She Found that my glasses were to strong from the last doctor at a different optometrist office . By correcting them with the proper lenses my eyes will no longer stress to try and focus through the wrong lens. Making my vision much better and clear.
