Windsor Bowling Center — Local services in Windsor

We never ended up bowling here, and after reading the reviews about pricing, I’m glad we decided to do something else.

We checked the website and were expecting to pay around $24 for an hour and shoe rentals for two people, and after reading the reviews of the high prices, were not too disappointed we didn’t bowl here. We went in on a Monday night, and it was way busier than expected, and we were told it would be about an hour and a half wait. We went to go kill time at mini golf and were really disappointed with the how the mini golf and arcade looked and estimated another wait because of two families starting the course. Husband decided he would rather go back to our hotel that was five minutes away and wait to get the text that our lane was ready. We finally got the text at an hour and a half quickly followed by a text that they would only hold our lane for another five minutes. Even though we would be there within the five minutes, I called to let them know we would be there, and we were told that in order to hold our lane, we needed to stay on the property. Since we had left the property, they would need to give our lane to the next in line and were told we had been an inconvenience for the family waiting after us because we had added (a short) amount of time to their wait. We decided we didn’t want the argument, agreed to forfeit our lane (even though it didn’t sound like we had much choice,) and chose to do something else. What a great birthday experience!!!!!!! The staff were so helpful and even though our party pizzas were sold to other bowlers the owner rushed to a pizza restaurant and had our kids fed lickety split! They through in free chips to keep them going and they got longer at bowling for the time we waited. I understand that mistakes like this can happen and with a staff willing to jump right in and fix the issue it's nothing that would lose them a star but gain another for their problem solving skills! I manage an office that has issues every single day so I can appreciate the effort. Our party host Clara was excellent, she was attentive and accommodating! The spaces were clean and bright, the glow in the dark mini golf was such fun and also very clean. For the cost this is the best place for...

The bowling ally was like any other. We were told it was league night and needed to be done at 5:30 so we rushed the 2nd game. We had 2 lanes and 3 others were being used at the time. Funny thing is we ordered food and 7 of us ate before any league started ... practice was 6:30. Then we played the glow golf. It was advertised that there is mist to give a rainforest experience. Ummm no that wasn't the case. They did not provide score sheets or anything. We had to help ourselves and when doing so they ran up stairs like we were common criminals lol. And FYI food doesn't open until 5pm after the public can bowl. Not worth the drive or the money. I only give 2 stars because...
