Standin On The Corner RT66 Gift Shop — Attraction in Winslow

Eagles fans rejoice! Nothing less than a throwback pilgrimage of the best of times, yet, for all ages. The speaker outside is playing all of our favorite Eagles tunes, people lining up to have their photos taken, reminiscing, some were singing along, many were coming out of the huge Standin' on the Corner souvenir shop, lots were looking at the stickers on the Flatbed Ford, people hugging right up to the life-size bronze statues of the band, etc, etc, etc. So much to rave about, it's an experience, it's Free, plenty of parking, clean, ADA compliant handicapped parking, a cafe and places to buy drinks etc, but, don't miss going into the gift shop for a real Eagles immersion... Amazing variety of everything (not only Eagles things) with very good prices and awesome staff. It was nice to see so much kumbaya amongst tourists willing to take photos of people at this town square. Young ones or of the baby boomer generation like myself, all there for a common interest in great music and a tribute to the boys...

Store had cool items to buy however, they knowingly double charged my card for items purchased and have yet to even return my call and refund the extra charge. The manager has been left several msgs and has not once returned my call in almost a month. They said that people are often double charged when using a card in their store, but it wasn't said until after the fact of me using my card. It's pathetic that a problem like that is on going and is not fixed. I can only imagine how much money people are being taken advantage of and not getting...

I've been a fan of the Eagles since 1972, and this was my second visit. While there's lots of cool stuff the store carries less merchandise geared towards the band and more political and patriotic stuff along with hats and some questionable men's t-shirts (no, I'm not a prude, but there's a place for everything). And the women's shirts had much smaller designs on them than the men's shirts (no designs on the back and much flimsier material). I see the Eagles influence taking a back seat to a lot of other stuff, and...
