Great location, close to shops and restaurants. We parked on the street and had no problems doing so.

Very cool playground for older kids. I wanted to play on it! Tallest slides I've ever seen on a playground!

Unfortunately the smaller playground recommended for ages 2-5 was a no-go for my toddler. Everything is very elevated so there's a huge gap before the stairs, under the slide, etc. (I included some pics for reference) making it hard for him to reach anything and making mom a little nervous about him falling if he was able to get up. He couldn't get up on the structure so he just enjoyed some people watching and running around. There's a cute ladybug rocker he enjoyed too. To be fair he is not quite 2 but he is tall and usually has no problem on other playgrounds with that same age recommendation. I noticed some older kids (maybe 4 or 5) also struggling to climb up on the small playground, really odd design! Going to give it another try when he's a bit...

When visiting Hanes Park we are heading straight for the playground with our children. The playground is good for kids of many different ages as there is play equipment meant for both under 5's and elementary ages. The 3 story tall slides on the "big kid" equipment get a big thumbs us from my 4 year old. There are both strap swings and bucket swings avaliable to play on as well as bouncy animals and a sit and spin chair. For the kid who loves nature there is a creek with bridges to cross and lots grass to run in. The only con to this place is that there is no baby changing station in the bathrooms, but they are kept reasonably clean despite being open to the public...

Great park with a paved track to run around the tennis courts and baseball fields. Great location next to the Y with playgrounds for the kids in the heart of the West End of downtown Winston-Salem. To review the playground only, this structure has some of the biggest slides in town that can be a bit scary or rough on younger kids. They also rely on both stairs and ladders to climb the 3-story structure. They also have a separate smaller playground with a slide for small kids and multiple swing sets. Not an...

This was a very nice park for me, wife and 3 little kids. The bathrooms were locked so we had to cut the trip short, and one of the slides was closed off because it's broken so that was not good, but everything else was very fun and well maintained. There's a very nice creek and bridge, a very nice running track for walkers, joggers, and runners, many tennis courts, and a very nice playground. There's also a public water fountain for when you get thirsty or if you want to fill your bottle. I can't wait to go back. 👍👍
