Sharpe Co. — Attraction in Winston-Salem

I will just stick with the facts…

We ordered several interior vinyl decal signs, and an exterior 1” thick acrylic “Welcome/Enter” sign from Sharpe Co and paid in full upfront.

Trip 1: Installers were over an hour late. They started applying the interior decal signs only to realize the vinyl was defective. Pulling the vinyl off the wall took some of the wall paint with it. Stopped the entire install and said they would have to come back with new material.

Had to wait several weeks …

Trip 2: Installers were over an hour late again. Installed interior vinyl decals and exterior acrylic sign.

Everything looked great until the exterior acrylic sign letters started to fall apart. To make the 1” thick letters, the company did two 1/2” layers stuck together. They used two sided tape to hold the layers together, but said a new employee forgot to use the bonding glue to make it permanent. They said the whole sign would have to be remade.

Had to wait several weeks …

Trip 3: New 1” thick acrylic sign was installed. Looked great … for one day … and then letters started to fall apart again. They said it would be best to remake the sign again using only the first 1/2” layer. I agreed but said, since we’re not getting the sign we paid for, (and assuming they would just discard the old one), would they leave us the old letters as a consolation - per chance we could use them elsewhere? They said yes.

Trip 4: New 1/2” thick acrylic sign was installed and the old letters were chucked into our dumpster which scratched and chipped them making them unusable.

If you use this company, I recommend you hold back 50% of the payment until the job is done to your...
