*PLEASE READ This place is absolutely amazing hands down!! Great folks good atmosphere. They really treat each and every person like family. I have exclusively ONLY used them for about 3 years and wouldn't dare go anywhere else. Unfortunately they are no longer a pawn shop as they are only buying and selling jewelry. But for those who are on the fence about using them or never had the delight to work with them .. just an example Of how great these ppl are and truly care about their customers...My husband was attacked by dogs some months back and hadls been unable to work as he was taken out by his dr. We are a family of 6 with 0 income. Pending a settlement with the homeowners insurance a year ago before this incident I bought a very expensive nice ring from them and I love it so much. But unfortunately We have 4 kids and no income so it came down to me having to sell my ring so I could buy some groceries for my children. They do not do pawns anymore and genuinely felt bad they were unable to buy back for the price I purchased and I was willing and ready to have to take a third of what I paid for it from them and I mentioned we had just went into negotiations to settle and the man who was negotiating the sale actually told me where I could pawn it at so I wouldn't lose it indefinitely... NOWHERE else will someone do this. These people are great really and truly no showboating here. A few times I was late paying my payments for pawned items and they were excellent and very understanding and worked with me to keep me from losing my things instead of just trying to get gains for thm business like everyone else and putting making money above all. They truly care about the customers and what's going on with them and go above and beyond normal places to try to please you and satisfy everyone.GO OUT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF THEY HAVE A HUGE SELECTION OF JEWELRY.. YOU WONT FIND BETTER PEOPLE OR PRICES ANYWHERE ELSE I GUARANTEE IT . I will always be a loyal customer to the team at Camel Pawn. Thank you guys for everything you've done for my family and I over the...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for her a replacement diamond ring. We had been to many other places and sent there by another pawn shop as she wears a larger size ring. To get there we had to circle the block
They have a nice selection..but the first guy asked her budget..which was $500..for a 1 carat ring she had about 6 years ago. Besides size she knew what she wanted. An older guy said, "you wont find that here or anywhere from here to china". OK. We looked and they wanted full retail at the pawn shop. We had gotten a 1 carat ring size 9... for $1000 from a reputable dealer 7 years ago. Both of the salesman became arrogant and smug. In their defense we are dressed in street clothes..not dirty or unpressed..just regular clothes. Plus due a partial disability..I limp right now.
We told them we had money for the ring and tax. We told them we had been reffered to to them. The taller older man in a white dress shirt and tie was more arrogant the other guy...however both were rude and insulting. The salesman in a red polo or red shirt came back from "the safe" with a cheap looking cloudy ring..and offered it to us for $400. We said no thank you. He said good luck as we were leaving. Well thank you kind sir. As of 8pm tonight..she found a BRAND NEW 1/2 carat ring like she wanted online for $400. New not pawned or used...with the diamond grading is awesome with a warranty.
Moral...dress better and pay retail if you want to go here. These 2 guys must have forgotten that it is a pawn shop..not a Debeers retailer. You two have good luck too..as there is this service called the internet... remember that customer service is paramount. We have a new ring and you dont have our money. Thank you. Read a book from a much bigger company than. yourselves. Try Zappos book on customer service..it will...
Read moreWent to see what they had and what their prices were like on precious stones. As with anything it is buyer beware. Saw a ring marked DQ CZ and 14k, which is a Diamonique Cubic Zirconia from QVC. It is not, and never will be, a diamond. I tried to tell the salesman this, but I don't blame him personally for not knowing. I still lost interest at that point because the salesman was looking at these "diamonds" with a pocket loupe, not even a real jewelers loupe. So they don't check the stones, no gem tester? Is the metal tested at least? I have been buying and selling jewelry online for over 20 years, where you simply cannot get by without knowing what you are selling and being 100% honest with your customers, and my reputation reflects that. I didn't feel good about making a purchase in this store. For there to be so much jewelry, the bulk of the store's inventory, I would expect much greater expertise in evaluation of it. Of course, this also means there are most likely some real bargains to be had if you have the tools and time to examine everything closely. Then when we moved away from the precious metals counter to the silver, the "bouncer" was just standing there with the broom and dustpan a foot from me, like he wanted us out of the store. I...
