Such a fun experience for my husband and I!
After get a quick rundown of rules from Maran (who was an awesome host), we donned our hazmat-look-a-like suits (see attachment), our goggles, and our canvases. Inside the black room covered in graffitied art of those who came before; we were given brushes, and cups of neon colored paint under the black light of the room. To make the experience even more fun, we could play any music we wanted by simply asking Google through the surround-sound system in the room.
Half way through our session, our lovely Maran came into the room with a surprise. We were given paint guns (not paint ball guns) which could shoot a single splatter of paint, or multiple in rapid succession to make a spray effect. Once we finished our worked of art, we then proceeded to paint each other with the remaining paint in the guns like a couple of 8 year old's who've no control. Afterwards, we removed our doused suits and stepped over to the washing area to remove any paint on our hands and then checked under the black light to make sure we were clean before grabbing our canvases and heading out the door.
We will definitely be back and bring others with us. For my husband and I, it was probably one of the most fun date night's we have ever had and I look forward to going back.
Cost was $35 a piece, but...
Read moreI love total escape we just went there last night for the 3rd time and was very excited to do prison break. But this trip was by far the worst experience we have had there. First off we had a group of eight people and we were locked in the cells and were communicating back and forth and the game master came in and told us we were being too loud. My second complaint is that our game master did not start our time so we had no clue how much time we had left. The game master finally started the timer after we asked him multiple times through the cameras. The time was not accurate because it said we only had 20 minutes left but we started at 9:25 and the time ran out at 10:10. The third complaint is that we found a playing card literally out in the open so we had 4 playing cards in total and were using them to figure out the last clue. Well after the game was over the game master brought out one of the cards we found and asked us where we found it and we told where and he told us that it was not even part of the game. So that tells me he I was not paying too much attention when we were in the room. He also had one of the worst attitudes out of anybody that works there. Hopefully our next experience...
Read moreThis was our 1st time doing an escape room and we can't wait to go back to do other rooms! Our group of 5 (a 12 yr old, two 14 yr olds, and 2 adults) did the Prison Break room. For us, the puzzles and tasks were challenging enough to make you think and work together, but not frustrating. Everyone was able to contribute. The rooms were appropriately themed and set up. The immersion aspect added to the fun and we liked having multiple areas to have to get out of. There were not red herrings, which we appreciated. (Maybe an advanced escape room goer may enjoy that, but it would've frustrated us.) Our host was friendly and knowledgeable as he explained the rules and answered our newbie questions beforehand. We asked for 2 hints during our time and liked how his answers (displayed on a monitor) pointed us in the right direction, but didn't outright say what to do, so we still felt like we were figuring things out. We escaped with 9 minutes left and felt a great sense of teamwork! The host offered to take our picture in the room and also agreed to take one in the lobby. Great memories made! We would definitely recommend...
