I went into the store on 10/3/2023 around 12pm to see if I could get my Samsung S22 Ultra screen fixed because it was cracked and glitching. I was told someone at the store on Stratford Rd in Winston Salem would be able to fix my phone. I do not have insurance, but I have a protection plan in which I would have to pay first and then be reimbursed. A man working there looked at my phone and said that it would be $325.00. I told him I would be back and he said ok and that he had a few screens left. I went home and made an appointment to come in 2 days later. However, I called the next morning to see if I could come in a day before my appointment and was told yes. So I drove there within 30 minutes expecting to have my phone serviced. To my surprise and disappointment I was told "I'm sorry, I can't help you." I told the man that I was told the day prior and 30 minutes before I got there that I could bring it in to be repaired. He said "I'm sorry, I can't speak for whoever told you that, but we won't be able to help you." I told him I had the money to pay for it and I literally just called and someone told me to come in they would fix it and he said "even if you have the money, insurance claims come first and we can't help you. We only get those screens, maybe 1 every few months." I then responded, "I was told twice that you can repair my phone, now I am here and you turn me away. You are not sorry and I need my phone so that I can work" and I walked out. I am not sure what the problem is and why I was turned away, but I had the money and was willing and ready to pay. Thank you thank you thank you! -‐--------- Updated: Because of Adam's great work I brought my daughters switch in to get it to work correctly on the dock. When we got it back and found the dock had not been fixed I asked for a refund and they tell me to bring it back in, so I do. They tell us they sent it out and the battery was replaced and the port was never worked on. The battery was never the issue. We wanted the dock to work. Now they say they can't get in touch with the company they outsourced to in order to get the correct fix done as a covered repair. They held the switch for an additional week waiting to get contact after having it for 3 weeks the first time. Then when they call me to tell me of the issues theyre having they tell me I dropped it off with a charge issue and that's what I asked to have fixed (straight up lie). They basically called me a liar and only offered to refund 35 bucks. After me continuing to advise them i shouldnt be charged at all when NOTHING was fixed they decided to refunded half the $120 I paid to have them hold my kid's switch hostage for over a month while nothing was fixed.
I made it clear that I was not happy and that their lack of customer service on an issue that was clearly on them and their outsourced provider was disappointing. Read moreI took my iphone to this shop to repair a cracked screen. I gave one star because i can't give zero stars. First of all i was told if i drop my phone off at 10;30 it'd be ready by 2:30 pm. They would send me an email when it was ready. That email never came. At 6pm i grew tired of waiting and got into my car and drove to their shop. First thing i noticed was the screen seemed to have some kind of tint to it. I figured no problem. i"ll just go into setting and turn the brightness all the way up so i can see. Then i noticed my face recognition didn't work anymore. Oh and the brightness goes back to dem every time the phone times out. The morning when i powered up my phone i received message say that a non-apple part has been detected. I called uBreakiFix and questioned them what did that mean. Did they use non-apple parts to make the repairs to my phone. I was told that they don't know what that even mean. Take your iphone to this place only if you're okay with losing some of it's features.
