This has been the worst customer service experience we've ever had. My husband is going to be in a wedding and this is the place the groom chose for the tux. He went to get measured and the sales person was very short with him (note:my husband is very quiet and laid back) on top of everything else. When he went to leave the guy tells him that the computer system isn't working properly due to a new system, which is fine but my husband has to get back to work so the guy suggests he give him his credit card number and he would run the deposit as soon as the system is back up because apparently he's not allowed to enter the measurements unless he has the deposit. Normally we would NEVER leave card information but he really had to get back to work and it's a good drive for him and he really can't afford the time to drive back out there. A few days later they call the groom and tell him that we still need to pay a deposit. Long story shorter we called Jos A Banks and talked to the manager. The employee is swearing he NEVER got a credit card number. Luckily we have fraud protection so it's no big deal but him lying IS a big deal. He actually said that he told him he would have to come back in (because of policy) to remeasure. My husband was livid. He wanted the company to replay the security cameras to prove the employee is lying and low and behold they don't have security cameras in their store. What place doesn't have cameras these days? He talked with the manager and the manager took his employees side but said we could work something out. He agreed to only charge hubby the deposit and for him to come back in that Saturday to remeasure and HE would be there to do it since no one else could approve a discount like that. Hubby shows up and the manager had already left for the day. We end up giving him the measurements over the phone later and he pays the deposit and we just received a phone call from the GSO store 3 days before the wedding stating that the manager had no right to give him that much of a discount and they are charging up the full $233. If it werent for the wedding being 3 days away we would cancel the whole thing but hate to leave the groom without...
Read moreThis was hands down the WORST retail experience of my life. I ordered 12 suits for a wedding in December. The first out of twelve came in 4 months later. The last suit to arrive came in 7 months later. We were never called for an update. My wife and I had to call regularly to check in otherwise we would not have had our suits on time EIGHT MONTHS LATER. At one point, they cancelled our order and didn't realize it. My wife and I caught it because we called in to check on the order. We were charged multiple times for the same suits and only caught it because we carefully review our bank statements. Multiple suits were the wrong size and had to be sent back. Some suits were shipped to other Jos A Banks stores for groomsmen who were out of town but they neglected to include contact information so the other stores didn't know how to call the groomsmen and who the suits belonged to. The incompetence of the people at this Jos A Banks is truly unmatched. For the endless headache, close call on ruining our wedding, countless hours I spent on the phone with them and traveling to the store over and over again, and clueless customer service they sent me a $25 gift certificate which doesn't even come close to alleviating the stress they caused and the terrible experience we endured. It also doesn't do me any good since I will never set foot in a Jos A Banks again. Even one call checking in would have made the experience much better, but it never happened. This is the first negative review I have ever written but I felt compelled because other people needed to be warned: DO NOT...
Read moreI ordered a suit for a wedding. I was told that my suit would be ready for pick up in one week. I paid and left the store. One week later, I received a phone message a week later stating that my jacket was ready however my pants were not yet ready. I was instructed to come in and try on the jacket for which I had already been fitted. This seeming strange that I would have to return to the store two times to pick up the suit, I waited three days before going to the store to pick up my, hoping that my COMPLETE suit would be finished(3 days after they said it would be.) When I arrived at the store I spoke with a different sales person who said "giving incomplete orders is not our policy." As I was speaking with the sale associate, the employee who sized me up arrived. I attempted to ask why my order was delayed, and he repeatedly interrupted me and gave very patronizing remarks. I felt belittled and demeaned, and was quite angered by this situation. He then asked me to try on the suit jacket(again), the said it would be another week on the pants(which were supposed to be completed the week before). Before leaving he charged me 13 dollars for "fitting," after I had already paid for my suit in full at my last visit. In summation, I still do not have the suit that I have been charged for on two separate occasions, and it is past its due date. My confidence in this location being able to complete simple orders and requests is low. I will not be returning to...
