I will never use this shop again! I brought our Z3 to experience âGerman Excellenceâ but what I experienced was far short of excellent. First off, I must say, I never write reviews. In fact, I hate the idea that I am forced to write about my experience, however given my awful experience, I feel it necessary to share. I also fully understand the shops position on my issue, however, given the fact that they have refused to at least acknowledge any potential wrongdoing, it leaves me no other choice than to share my experience. To make a long story short, we towed in our Z3 due to a fuel pump issue. The fuel pump was replaced along with some intake hoses and new spark plugs to the tune of $2,000!!! When I get the call from the shop that the car was ready, they told me that the clutch was going out. I had never had an issue with changing gears in this car before bringing it to âGerman Excellenceâ but I understand it is an older vehicle and I was in desperate need to get my car back. I declined the repair and got my car from the shop. On the way home, less than two miles from the shop, I am suddenly unable to change gears. I had to coast into a parking lot. The clutch was completely shot. I called the shop and tell them the issue. I explain that the car was brought in for a fuel pump, and given back to me with a blown clutch. After a couple days, the shop called me back to offer a 10% discount for a new clutch. HOW GENEROUS!?! I was told that they trust their technicians and that there was âno way they caused any damage to the clutch.â I explained that I trusted them to give me the repairs I needed, but they need to trust me, that I never had an issue with the clutch before. They refused to give me anything for the poor experience or the inconvenience of being stranded on the side of the road for a car that they broke. I am sure they are all nice people that work there but do yourself a favor and find a better shop....

For almost a year, I had been dealing with Ideal Service Center after a repair they made. From the very first day I picked up my car, I smelled gas. I told them right away, and they dismissed it, saying it was just spilled oil and that it would âburn off.â For the next year, I kept calling them, and every time they told me the same thing: keep driving it. As it turns out, my warranty was one year⊠and they stalled me until it ran out. When I called again, they even tried to make it seem like it was my fault for not bringing it in when in reality they had told me not to worry about it.
Out of frustration and fear for my familyâs safety, and feeling nauseated when I drive my car, I took my car to German Excellence. And just as I suspected my car was leaking GASOLINE, not oil. For an entire year, I had been driving a car that could have caught fire. My family and I could have been seriously hurt OR WORSE!
From the moment I walked into German Excellence, I felt safe. Shay saw how stressed I was and greeted me with a hug, genuine warmth and listened to every single concern I had. She didnât just dismiss me, she educated me, explained what was happening, and even went the extra mile to look into whether the other shopâs work was still under warranty to try and save me money. That level of compassion and integrity is RARE.
At German Excellence, you donât have to worry about them trying to make money off of you. Their priority is your safety and well-being first, and it shows in everything they do. I even overheard them talking about other customers and you would think they were talking about their family. You can hear the love in their voices.

   Read moreNot a very good experience, service was a bit unprofessional. Came in Monday morning to drop off my car for service. Front desk person seem a bit tired and made a couple of minor mistakes. I chalked it up as being Monday morning because I too almost walk out of there without leaving them my key. They told it will be done by that afternoon or so and they will give me a call. No call that afternoon. I in return gave them a call the follow day during lunch around noon. They told "Oh yes, we tried to call you this morning". This was a lie I was next to my phone all day and never got a called or a miss called, yet I was still patient thought hey I was a bit tired yesterday probably wrote down my number wrong or something and they probably called a different number. Came to the dealer to pick up my car at around 2 that afternoon. Went to the lobby and no one was there. There was also no bell or anything to notify that I was there. I stood there for about half an hour before someone came in. When the front desk person came in and saw me he was shock and said, "No one told me that you were coming in, okay can you wait a bit for me to get your invoice ready?" So, I had to wait another half an hour for an invoice. When I double check my invoice, I saw that my phone number on there was correct. Overall, the work they did there wasn't bad. They did what they said they would do and didn't really tried to up-sale me on any other services. They do charge you a bit more than a family mechanic.
