Out and about looking for something new, we dropped in to have a simple meal that turned out to be so much more. Best surprise Seafood feast I allowed myself to indulge in. Got the Lobster stuffed seafood salad with octopus and seared shrimp skewers w black beans n' rice and fried fish Mahi platter with fries. The fried fish was a little dry but had great flavor; wit made for a great platter with the sauce that came with the lobster. I've never had cream white sauce has good as theirs. Felt like Royalty when they brought it all out from the kitchen! Looked so gorgeous on the plate I regretted not taking a picture to keep in my wallet show off like it was my new family member or something. Truly remarkable! Very rich, well seasoned, yet balanced and fresh. Service was top notch, host was personable. Their seafood specialty is now my Christmas tradition....at least while supplies last. We'll be...
Read moreWhat a great addition to our neighborhood! Anclas specializes in Puerto Rican is right next to Aldi in the Aloma Shopping Center on the corner of Forsyth and Aloma, down the road from 436. For a small, family-owned cafe this place is five stars in my book. It’s affordable, clean, great service, and good food.
We stopped by on a Sunday morning for breakfast and ordered Double Cortadito, Criollo Sandwich (ham, egg, cheese on pan sobao I think) that came with fries, and a guava juice blended with ice and milk. It was all delicious 😋. I probably could’ve used more cheese on my sandwich, or maybe a little mayo. But I love cheese too much.
The service was great, the interior has been updated and has a cool mural and decor. I believe the owners are from Arecibo. ❤️ We will definitely be coming back more often to support. Check it out the next time you’re in the area or shopping at Aldi....

Now I've been there since it's name changed to Anclas. Terrible service, they move slow. The empanadas don't have any meat ...maybe two bites of meat in the whole thing. One time I went it actually had meat. Then I ordered that same exact thing 3 times and each time it was a different price. I paid almost $7 for a potato ball and a beef empanada. I have never paid that much in my life at any spanish restaurant for that. That wasn't even a whole meal for that price just two snacks. I will never return. That was the most ridiculous price ever!!!!!They're not the friendliest people. Do not recommend this place and my co workers will not return because they're...
