Colorados longest alpine slide in winterpark! So fun - 3000 ft to slide down and a 7 min chair lift up. Lets do it again! #alpine #alpineslide #winterpark #winterparkcolorado #summerinthemountains

Day pass for sure. Sent the kids up as many times as they can handle. Haven't been since I was a kid. Way more to do then expected. Took a ride up the gondola for ice cream at the top of the mountain. Had bags and ladder ball for free to play. Drink hut was nice being close. Had some chairs to sit in. Could bring your own if you wanted. Any rain they close the alpine for saftey.

Family of 4. 13 yr old and 10 yr old. We purchased tickets at the park and arrived before opening on a Saturday which is definitely the way to go. We went down the slide two times before deciding to take a break. After our break, the line was so long that we decided to leave. It was fun to race each other side by side on the different tracks.

Okay...so being a raised Coloradan, I have been going here with my parents since I was 5 years old. I am now, 35. I have a child of my own, however, I have not been up here since he's been born, roughly 10 years ago. All the times I have been here have been a lot of fun and without injury or incident!

TO ALL THE PEOPLE COMMENTING 1 STAR & BLAMING THE SLIDE: It has nothing to do with the slide or park, and everything to do with you and the rider. There are WARNINGS EVERYWHERE! Literally telling you to be mindful of other riders. There are ALSO, 2 DIFFERENT SLIDES. Ones for beginners (i.e. people who are young, old, or scary, and need to go slower), and the one for Advanced! Faster sliders (people who know that they're doing and can get down without hurting themselves). They send people down with plenty of time and space between riders. From the sounds of things, people are either sending the scary, elderly or children down the Advanced Slide and sending speed freaks, down the Beginner Slide. The slides are easy to operate and it surely doesn't take anyone with an education higher than Kindergarten, to work the sleds. If you just use your heads and not be dumb, there really is noting to worry about. IT'S ALL ON THE PEOPLE! Don't ruin this place or it's reputation, for people who love it, with your horrible reviews. It's just you!!

If you're coming, please send your grandparents, elderly parents, kids and anyone who is scared, down the beginner slide, and leave the advanced slide to those of us that know how to control ourselves. Lastly, don't go on the beginner slide and be an A-hole and haul butt. Really, it's common sense folks. I know that's hard to come by nowadays with Social Media shaping our minds but really...THE FORCE IS WITH ALL OF YOU!

This place is AMAZING! Aside from the slide, the view is amazing and there are plenty of things to have fun with, with the Unlimited Day Pass. So worth the money, the adventure and...

Have enjoyed the slide many times over the years without incident. Unfortunately this trip we experienced a completely preventable accident. An older woman who had never done the slide before ended up riding the brake all the way down, barely at a creep. The guy running the slide noted that she was going slowly, and waited a few extra minutes before letting my daughter go ahead, followed shortly by myself. The woman was going so slowly that my daughter came around a curve and almost couldn't stop in time to avoid colliding with her. When the brake wasn't enough to stop her, she had to put down a hand to try to stop herself. When I unknowingly came around a curve and saw my daughter stopped on the track, I was unable to stop fully, and hit her hard. Our friend was next to add to the pile up. We were not able to continue down the track, because the woman was still barely creeping along, but we didn't want anyone else to hit us, so we had to get off the track entirely to avoid further collisions. The ride operators kept sending people down, while the woman in front was still barely moving. We flagged down rider after rider, telling them to slow down, so they wouldn't hit the woman. It took her over 10 minutes to reach the bottom, and they had probably sent a dozen riders behind her. We didn't feel safe getting back on the track to get to the bottom, because we couldn't tell when the next rider was coming. Finally a ride operator came down the slide and asked us what was happening. Why are they not able to monitor the slide? Why couldn't they close that side until the operator at the bottom reported that the woman had reached the bottom? It was ridiculous, and people could have been seriously injured due to their negligence. They need a better system of monitoring the slide to prevent this...

Winter Park Resort does not honor its rain check policy. The alpine slide was closed for more than 30 minutes today during the time my family and I had to visit the resort. We were able to ride the alpine slide 1 time. The slide was closed then reopened long enough for us to catch the lift to the top. While on the lift, the slide closed again. We were stuck at the top until a shuttle bus came up to drive us down. This was a 40 minute ordeal. Because the sales agent explained the rain check policy when we bought the tickets (“if the slide is closed more than 30 minutes, you can receive a rain check to come back another day”), I went back to the ticket office to get a rain check. Instead of honoring the policy, the team there berated me and my family with questions about our day and pressure to just continue to use the facility because the slide had yet again reopened (for who knows how long this time). Absolutely horrific customer service. The policy is simple. Getting the employees there to honor it is anything but. We left without a rain check because I didn’t want to spend all day arguing with staff. So, I paid $73 per person for 5 people to play one round of mini golf, ride the alpine slide 1 time, get a horrible shuttle bus ride down the mountain, and receive horrible customer service to boot. No thanks. We...
