1 star review summary - you may end up paying for Kava shots with the staff when you didn't think you would.
Full review below...
I actually really enjoyed this Kava bar for their drinks, atmosphere, and staff. And, tbh, I'd recommend this place to just about anyone looking for a place to relax, study, or just have a good time, right?
But, the reason for the 1 star review is that I actually got duped for 2 kava shots that I didn't know I was going to end up paying for. I basically feel like I got got.
Background I had a Kava drink and picked one up for one of my gfs. The Kava bartender was nice and asked if we wanted a Kava shot with them to which we agreed. So, we took the shots with the staff and a bit later I closed out the tab. Just the 2 drinks were on it. Remember this as it is important.
Well, we stick around a bit longer and end up ordering 2 more Kava drinks. This time around, the male Kava bartender asked if we wanted shots with them.
Now here's the reason for the 1-star: I was under the impression that since the bartender offered, and it was with the staff, that it was a goodwill gesture and was free just like the first one was. So, we got 2 Kava shots and drank them with the staff. He was also around and saw us get shots the first time.
A bit later I closed out the tab and saw the 2 drinks in addition to the 2 Kava shots.
I was pretty upset. I asked why the bill was 60 or so bucks and he explained it was for the 2 drinks and the 2 shots. At that point, I was pretty tired and was having a good time, so I decided to pick my battles so to speak and not give the bartender any grief. I paid and left.
But, reflecting on this, I am pretty upset this happened. If I knew I was going to be charged for the Kava shots, I wouldn't have agreed to have shots with the staff. Frankly, it is deceitful to willingly offer Kava shots to customers to be taken with the staff and then charge them for it.
A long story, I know. But, it's pretty conniving to do a customer in like this.
Again, a nice Kava bar with good drinks and a pretty good atmosphere. But, this is an un-Chadly move to do the customer in like this. Feel free to check it out, but don't take shots with the staff if asked. You just...
Read moreThe sun was shining brightly on the hot day as Jesse and Walt made their way to Kava Culture in Winter Springs, Florida. They had heard about this place from a friend who said they make some of the best drinks around.
As they stepped inside, they were met with an atmosphere that was surprisingly serene despite its tropical decor. The walls were lined with colorful tapestries and paintings of exotic plants, while a soothing blend of music filled the air.
Jesse and Walt went up to the bar where the bartender greeted them warmly. He asked if he could get them anything special today, and at Walt's suggestion Jesse decided to try something called "the Blue Lagoon." The bartender mixed together a bunch of different ingredients, including coconut milk and blue curacao.
When the drink was finished, Jesse took a sip and his eyes lit up in surprise. It was like nothing he had ever tasted before - sweet, tart, and with an exotic flavor that left him wanting more. He thanked Walt for suggesting it as they went to find a seat at one of the tables outside.
As they enjoyed their drinks under the shade of some palm trees, Jesse felt an overwhelming sense of contentment wash over him. This place had become a welcome escape from all the chaos of their lives back home in Albuquerque. For that moment, everything felt alright again - even if only for a little while.
They stayed until late in the evening, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and each other's company. Eventually, it was time for them to go home - but not before Walt bought Jesse a bottle of the Blue Lagoon as a souvenir.
Jesse thanked him with a smile on his face, feeling grateful that he had such an amazing friend in Walt. He knew that no matter what happened next, they would always have this moment to look...
Read moreFirst impressions are everything. Today (2/2/2024, around 1:50pm), I saw this establishment and decided to go in and make a purchase because this would be a new experience for me. The establishment’s aesthetics are very inviting, but the customer service was HORRIBLE.
There were 3 patrons sitting at the bar, all of which had been served. I was the only person needing to be served.
I walked to the bar and waited for the bartender (long straight blond hair and of European descent ) to acknowledge my presence. She did not. I waited about 2 minutes.
As I am waiting, another gentleman of her same ethnicity walks through the door, walks down and stands behind me. The bartender automatically smiles and asks him if she could help him. He states he is there to meet someone and the person he was there to see just happened to be seated to my left.
Anyway, instead of the bartender then asking me if she could help me, she glances at me then proceeds to start to go back to what she was doing. At this point, I say, “So I guess you don’t see me standing here?”. It is at this time she gives me a fake smile and asks me if she could help me. I told her that was okay, turned and walked out the door. She never once tried to apologize for not acknowledging my presence.
It may not mean much to your company, but you have lost revenue because of her actions. My family and I spend over $100 to $200 every week on establishments like these. We will drive 30 to 40 minutes away just to get the drink from the establishment we enjoy going to and seeing as to how your establishment is less than 2 minutes away…well, you know the rest. Again, the loss of this revenue may not mean much to your company.
I will be telling my friends not to support this...
