I have never written a poor review for google reviews, but I felt this needs to be said, because I am shocked by all the great reviews this spa had.
We booked this spa because my soon to be sister in law wanted to experience a mud bath for her Bachelorette. Monica, the owner that I spoke to on the phone was short, curt, and rude while booking. I shook it off because it was near closing and I thought maybe I just inconvenienced her. However, I called back the day before out appt to book for the bride to be's mom who came last minute to join the Bachelorette excursion. She was just as curt and short and sounded aggravated that we were booking again.
Upon arrival my sister in law (not the bride to be) had a migraine. The place was bright and the background music was somewhat loud. The seating area was small and cramped. And it made her migraine worse. We were hoping for calm and tranquil, not the vibe at all.
The biggest surprise was that the mud bath was not a mud bath at all. It was a hydrobath with a small bowl of mudlike minerals she tossed into the tub. The room was loud and overstimulating and the worst part was the bride to be got too hot and overstimulated. It was not a relaxing experience.
The bride to be's 86 year old mom was our last minute booking for a facial massage. She is allergic to coconut oil and told the massage therapist this. The massage therapist said she would use a blend of oils the would be safe. She broke out into hives that night and couldn't sleep for the next 2 nights. The hives were all located on the face, scalp, and back of neck where she was massaged.
After we were all dressed and finished with our session, we were quickly asked to leave because the owner had to close early. It was only 230pm and the spa has hours open until 9pm. We felt awful for holding her up and thought we missed something about the hours.
I just can't express how disappointed our whole party was with the experience.
I highly recommend booking somewhere else in the dells. This was not a professional or...
Read moreWhen I visit new cities/towns l like to support local business. I google, read reviews and pick my establishment. Cleopatra Health & Wellness Spa is off the beaten path of the Wisconsin Dells rat race, It’s tuck a way in a quite neighbor. I called to make an appointment for a Swedish Massage & a Liquid Mud Bath (a new experience for me) and spoke to Monica, and she set up both appointments for me. Monica was super nice, very friendly, and explained both treatments. I arrived the next morning several minutes before appointments to fill out papers. Monica greeted me right of way with a friendly hello and a huge smile, instantly I felt very welcomed!
My first treatment was the Liquid Mud Bath, Monica explained what was going to take place and how this treatment would benefit my body. The 30 minute treatment was very relaxing and soothing. This also prepares me for my next treatment the Swedish Massage.
I didn’t realize how much stress and tension my body was harboring. Mónica was able to detect this without asking any questions as she worked on my upper body. This sounds silly but it’s as if her fingers could sense where l needed massaging. For 80 minutes Monica worked on my entire body. Mónica did an outstanding and professional massage, l left the spa a very statisfied customer! I would highly recommend your next massage from Mónica, you...
Read moreI decided on a whim to drop the kids off at Noahs Ark while I had a mini spa day. I looked into a few options and Cleopatra's had some great services and the prices were more reasonable. I called and the owner was amazing. She told me when she would be back and opened up for me. (That is great customer service!) I decided on one of the body treatments and really enjoyed it. The steam in the capsule was relaxing. The mini facial felt amazing. Everything was explained as we went through the steps. I felt comfortable and welcomed. I have experienced service that is uncomfortable from the lack of communication and the opposite where you can't relax due to nonstop talking. This experience was great. She (so bad with names I apologize) was amazing. When we talked it felt natural no awkward pauses. There was also long stretches of not speaking which allowed me to embrace the experience. When the body treatment was complete I added a massage. My lower back has some arthritis which makes it uncomfortable to get a massage for the first few moments. Once my back is not as tender it feels amazing. This holds true for this experience. I could have laid there all night. This mini spa day was perfect at a fraction of the cost. I encourage everyone reading this to schedule an appointment. You will not regret it. I will definitely be going to...
