This bad experience started with these people at East coast Toyota who put me through a complete nightmare... I went hoping to put my name on the car I bought with my brother, a 2021 RAV4. The process was handled by Rafael Ortiz, the same person who sold me the car in 2021. He talked to me about some prices and percentages that I would start paying and got me a down payment of $2500, then when he was talking to the financier Jimmy Samadiego, he started talking about Netflix shows and other things. He continues with his deception and gets me to sign without showing me the value, without telling me or explaining all the insurance, extras and charges⦠at that moment I told him that I disagree their terms, he told me not to worry and I said that I will be called soon. Two weeks passed, I came back because they never contacted me, Rafi a menagerie that was ātrying to helpā met me there, but he didn't do anything or say much... then I started communicating with Juan Higuera, a super pedantic and rude person who always made me feel guilty and blamed me about the situation they created, at first he told me that the $2500 I gave him were gone (like that money never existed) and that he couldn't tear apart the contract that they forced me to sign by deception and withholding information, When he asked me for the $2,500 I told him that I was not going to give them more money... he lost control and began to argue that he had already told me and that then there was no business and that I must leave... I told him that what I wanted was not to have any kind of business with them... he in turn said that I had to pay for the certification of the car and I told him Iād pay them just not to have anything to do with them ever I just wanted to no longer deal with them and never see them again in my life... they finally forced me to pay $5010 to release a contract that I had not even started to pay for. I lost another 2,500 due to a deal that fell through, and was left without a car and possibly with a damage in my credit score. DON'T BE FOOLED, these people don't care leaving you sleeping on the street, don't let them do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEast Coast Toyota exceeded my expectation with their services. I went in for a test drive of the 2024 Venza Limited. My salesperson Youssef was very helpful and patience. I did not expect that they will find the red color that I wanted, but they did, on my first visit no less. Towards the end of my first visit, we waited a little by his desk, and he came back after he search their network of dealerships and said he could get me the exact car that I wanted.
After hearing all the horror story of how bad dealership could be, I was prepared to go in and "have the fight of my car buying life".
But that wasn't the case. He did not try to sell me endless useless things but did recommend I get certain services that I would've gotten. I value his opinion. He also connected me with someone that could do ceramic coating of my car before I picked it up.
The process was simple and Youssef guided me through the steps with ease. Kept me updated when he could and even sent me videos of my car.
Angel was the person that gave me a thorough run down of everything in the car, connected it with my phone, and answer so many of my questions. This is a bit of a surprise to me. My father-in-law bought a Toyota from another dealership close to him, it didn't sound like anyone helped him with setting up bluetooth, GPS, or anything. Me and my husband (after learning from Angel) knows how to connect his car to his phone so he could use Andriod Auto.
I found my auto loan finances through a local credit union. I told them the rate I got, they didn't waste my time trying to convince me to go with their finance, since they said they couldn't beat that rate. I appreciate that a lot. In this day and age, all the information is out there and I wouldn't want to waste my time going back and forth on meaningless things.
I am not someone that needs to get the steepest deal and discount, so we agree on pricing relatively fast.
All in all, the process of buying my car was relatively simple. Everyone I've met was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this dealership if you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently purchased a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid from East Coast Toyota in New Jersey, eager to experience its touted features. However, I must share my dissatisfaction with several significant quality issues that have greatly diminished my enjoyment of the vehicle.
The primary concern lies with the car door mechanism. Upon attempting to close the doors, I initially exerted a normal amount of force, but with each subsequent attempt, I found myself needing to push harder. This troubling pattern suggests a potential misalignment or obstruction, preventing the door from sealing securely. It is particularly disheartening to encounter such problems in a brand-new vehicle. New cars should provide a seamless experience, allowing doors to close effortlessly and firmly. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience with the RAV4, indicating a glaring oversight in quality control for the 2024 model.
Additionally, the performance of the heating system has proven to be another major disappointment. The cabin takes an unreasonably long timeāoften 10 to 15 minutesābefore it begins to warm up. This leaves me sitting in an uncomfortably cold car during winter months, which is far from ideal. I raised this issue with the service center, only to be reassured that everything was functioning as intended. This response does little to build my confidence, especially as it seems I am not alone in my frustrations with the inadequate heating system for a new vehicle.
In summary, the challenges with the door mechanisms and the ineffective heating system have overshadowed the excitement of owning my 2024 RAV4 Hybrid. I urge management to take these issues seriously, as addressing them could significantly enhance the experience for both current and future RAV4 owners. As it stands, these quality concerns have left me disappointed with a vehicle that should have exceeded my...
