I called ahead to ask if they take walk-ins. The lady said yes, so I drove down to the salon not long after. The lady at the front asked me what I wanted, then told me to sign in. I picked a nail color and sat down. Fifteen minutes later she comes up to me, asking me what did I want? I repeated myself. Not sure how she forgot since I was only one of two customers waiting, but I understand they see a lot of people. Her approach and tone was the issue. She leaned over and spoke to me like I was a child. Didn't say hello, excuse me, nothing. Just asked what I wanted (I was on my phone, waiting), then acted condescendingly when I wasn't sure if she was speaking to me or the lady next to me. The woman who did my nails listened to me and gave me what I asked for. The shaping on a few of the nails wasn't the best, but the color was applied very well and looked great. She was a little rough a couple times and at one point I pulled my hand away from the pain. She did not apologise or change her technique. A little consideration doesn't hurt! Obviously the customer service is lacking. They're condescending or just plain rude to customers. They think no one in the salon can understand their native language because many of the clients are English speakers only, but they should be a bit more careful about what they say. Just because someone doesn't look like they know what you're saying doesn't mean they don't! I must certainly knew what they were saying. To conclude: poor treatment of customers, but decent nail work. This place will work in a pinch, but I'd choose somewhere else if you're looking for good...

Van, Ana, and Linda treated me with extreme disrespect during my time there and seemed to be working together to find ways to get rid of me all the time. The owner (Van) seemed to be threatened by my skills. Rather than addressing her concerns directly, she spoke bad about me to clients who requested me and discouraged them from booking my services. I learned this through screenshots shared by a customer, which I will attach (see photos).
When I brought this issue to her attention this past weekend, she fired me and threatened to report me to the NJ State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling to have my license revoked, despite signing an attestation to the government couple of weeks prior. This feels like outright retaliation; if she genuinely believed I was not properly trained by her own self, she should not have signed the form in the first place.
Every day was a struggle as she gaslighted me into thinking I was the problem, when she was truly the core issue. Her unprofessional behavior not only undermined my confidence, but also created a toxic atmosphere. Several clients noted the negativity and some even decided not to return.

Read moreI do not write negative reviews so I apologize for this but I believe it was necessary. I went there for the first time. I called and I was able to get appointment same day. I appreciated that because it was urgent. I did have to wait about 40 mins and I did not mind that since I called same day. The owner was very friendly and seemed caring. She took the customers' concerns very seriously. I asked one lady where the colors were and she just pointed randomly without caring if I found it. The owner then appropriately guided me. The lady that did my nails was not friendly and careless. She kept leaving in between without even saying anything. She was the only one wearing gloves and when she kept leaving she was touching everything else and using same gloves on my hands. The nail polishes were all very dirty. I did not like the way how my nails came out either. If she at least tried to be nice then I would not have cared. She kept talking on the phone. Overall, I found her behavior to be rude. It was a bad experience. I am huge on customer service and everyone should be treated nicely. I hope in the future they treat every customer nicely and not discriminate...
