UPDATE - Rev'd up likes to send out emails advertising one thing (with no disclaimer stating otherwise), and then switch it up when you arrive. Pay attention to what they're charging you. They offered $5 kids meals, but when we got there, it only applied to pizza or corn dogs (none of which my child will eat.) Rev'd Up Fun is fun. However I leave a 3-star review because there's room for improvement. We have been going to Rev'd Up Fun since they first opened. We now have a membership, which we paid for a year in advance, and we visit at a minimum 2x a month, each time spending roughly $75-$100 between arcade credits, food and drinks.
The PROs of Rev'd Up Fun: (1) It's a clean environment. Never any trash laying around and the staff does a great job at keeping the place clean and sanitized.
(2) They have plenty of fun things for kids to do and the younger staff are really good about interacting with the kids, joking with them and playing.
(3) They hire a lot of high school students and from what I can tell, they treat them well as most all of the staff seem very happy in their roles and are familiar faces each time we visit. So in other words, they have good retention.
(4.) It’s a fun place for adults as well and they have an array of food and drinks.
Now for the CONs. And I don’t post this to bash Rev’d Up Fun. We truly like going here but would love to see some changes. And I know we’re not the only ones who have complained about these things.
(1) Checking in is absolutely miserable. There are multiple “lanes,” with one being a VIP lane for members. Most days there is only one person working the desk – and if we’re lucky, there might be two people. The process to check in takes so long and the kids get impatient. Oftentimes the VIP lane gets overlooked, even though one of our paid perks is to be able to get in quickly/smoothly. The same goes for paid events (like the North Pole / Halloween events.) There needs to be a quicker check-in process as the lines get so long and the kids get miserable.
(2) Monthly member perks are often overlooked when checking in. Most of the time if I forget to ask for the member perk (whether it be spinning a wheel for a prize or getting a $10 arcade card) the person working the desk usually fails to offer it. I have enough to remember and wish they were better versed on pointing out the monthly perk.
(3) Although the menu is unique, the food is just okay. But the biggest issue is that the orders are often missing certain ingredients or are just wrong. We never receive the dressings we ask for for chicken or salads. This is obviously a staff issue and I feel like perhaps they need better training in that area. We end up spending more time waiting in line at the food counter to get missing items or having our meals corrected.
(4) No gifts can be brought into the establishment unless you’re attending a birthday party. I understand they don’t want people coming in and having their own “parties” without paying Rev’d Up Fun, but we came to play with a friend and it happened to be just past his birthday, so we brought a small bag with a gift for him. I was immediately (and quite frankly, rudely) told I would have to bring it back to my car, which was all the way at the other end of the parking lot – on a rainy day no less. After speaking with a manager, I was told they would hold it at the front desk and our friend could claim it when we left. It was highly disappointing to my son to have to watch his friend open his gift in the main lobby where everyone is trying to check in. I feel like some minor exceptions could be made. It’s not as if we were bringing in cake, balloons, etc. it was just a small bag.
Do the cons keep me away from Rev’d Up Fun? No – mostly because we have a membership that’s already paid for the rest of the year. Will we continue to visit Rev’d Up Fun? Yes – again, mostly because we have the membership at the moment. However if things don’t improve we will not be renewing our membership at the end of the year and will consider...
Read moreOkay so this is going to be long but I've gave them millions of times to figure it out & they haven't so here it goes..
1.) My son was playing in the ball pit one day a few months ago - he runs out screaming & crying blood everywhere come to find out the ball pit area that's zoned for up to 10 years if age I believe there was a 12 year old bigger sized boy up there basically ruff housing that jumped on my son and knocked 2 of his FRONT TEETH OUT my son was 6 at the time... Come to find out the kid playing was there without paying or having a membership... Of course an incident report was made and I raised hell nothing was done. Not even a call from the GM to discuss or say sorry. Nor did they put staff in the ballpit area to keep our kids safe...
2.) Every single time we come in even having a membership it takes 30 MINUTES to check in not because of the other people checking in but because my "account" has multiple issues and it's hard to find my kids...
3.) Come to find out a membership I pay for 9 PEOPLE we get perks such as monthly incentives that our kids didn't receive for close to 4 months due to it not being offered nor told to us.
4.) All of my 9 memberships were started the same day but yet revd up continues to not pull the funds all at one time they continue to pull one a day which is raising FRAUD on my account locking my card so when I'm out and buying things I get declined but yet come to find out it's because of revd up pulling 2 memberships a day then one the next day and so on. Calling to speak to the manager and still nothing being taken care of same thing happens MONTHLY.
5.) Coming in to check in and saying my card declined some of my memberships again because of how revd up continues to pull some this day and some this day and so on - all for us to have to wait for a manager to figure it out which myself and all of my kids have to wait up front for 45 mins before playing is RIDICULOUS!
THE ICING ON THE CAKE IS TODAY;
6.) My kids are already giving me grief coming here anymore saying it take us to long to get in I still choose to come here instead of sky zone (we have a membership there also) because of my younger kids - we walk in and I get in line they have like 6 lanes but yet only 3 cashiers. People are all over lanes where there's no cashier, I thought it was weird but I waited because I was indeed next... the lady looks at me and says one second ma'am - over looks me to the people that just walks up and says do you have a membership? He says yes, she says I'll take you here... I then rudely said so do I!! She says oh, OK one second... I waited an extra 5 minutes the next person opened up and I went to her... Never was it explained to me that certain lanes are for members and the others are for regular people, parties etc. I was then told this by another customer in line when I was I'm sure red in the face, going up to the clerk and the previous clerk coming over to ask her a question then says hi to me never was it brought to my attention or told to me - I still wouldn't know if the customer didn't tell me!! I used to come here every weekend I pay my memberships every single MONTH, I spend atleast $200 in food and drinks every single trip. I know just about most staff by name because of issues I've encountered sadly. I also have always told the manager Pam when I see an employee that does amazing which they get perks too if it's brought to their attention.
As a business owner myself I've gave then many many times to try to figure out the on going issues, make it easier on me to bring my kids to this community. Figure out billing etc. I've called have had many conversations nothing ever comes from it. Sadly at this point I'm fed up and will be on a new hunt for a place to take my children. I get zero respect here and I spend tons and tons of money here! My son not only got his teeth knocked out he's got major anxiety coming to a large play place thanks to the carelessness of Revd up. Coming from one business owner that deals with kids daily at my business you...
Read moreI have been to this establishment probably 15 times in the last 3 years. I had previously left 5 * review but after last nights disappointment I must update to 1 *.
We arrived about 6:15 and got 5 Arcade/Game packages for the children we brought. 4 12 years old and one 3 year old. We purchased 2 Pizzas, Pitchers of Soda, and some other food upon arrival. We were told the Bathrooms were having issues and they would be fixed and food would resume in about 30 minutes. I asked if I could order some pizzas for the kids and have them delivered, was told absolutely not. Was told it was "against the law to serve any beverages while the bathrooms were out." So we waited...
We continued to wait. An hour went by and still no bathrooms or food/drink. I talked to the bar and assured us things would be working very soon. 30 more minutes, nothing. Went to the bar and seen them now serving drinks (I thought it was illegal, that's what their staff said.) They couldn't serve us our pitchers of Soda we paid for, had to purchase bottles of Gatorade individually this time. At this point I went to the front desk to speak to a manager.
The manager who came out was 0 help and took no responsibility for their actions. They repeatedly set up wrong expectations on food service and bathrooms, straight up lying at some points. If we would of been told there was no food or bathrooms when we came in, we would of never purchased the packages.
I asked for a refund/partial refund on my purchase since we wanted to leave to go get food for our group. We were told 0 refund could be given because the games were working... The games were working, but the restrooms sure weren't, the kitchen definitely was not. Our rate of stay was greatly effected by the issues they were having but they didn't care, they already took our money.
There was a sanitary cleanout in the middle of the building before you get to the games. This section was blocked off and had standing drain water that came up through the cap. This water is no doubt sanitary water as it was obviously tied into the non working toilets at the property. They allowed the guests in the establishment with total deniability the water was sewage. The owner said she doesn't know what the water is because she is not a plumber (smh your toilets aren't working). So no running water for kids to wash their hands was available the whole time during operation. There were gloves left on top of ticket machine that were used to clean the water. The water was gross enough to wear gloves but not close the doors.
Once this place could not have bathrooms/food they should of closed the doors and got their problems resolved. They just kept things rolling and misrepresenting the issues they were dealing with. This business showed complete negligence concerning a sanitary plumbing problem around children. They continuously lied to keep their profits rolling. They cared more about keeping our money over keeping us...
