Classic Cinemas Woodstock XQ — Attraction in Woodstock

I love this cinema, their popcorn and drink policy, and new seats, but lately we have been disappointed. We have been to see several movies and there has almost always been a problem with either the movie or sound not being on which caused delays. I hope they get it figured out. It’s especially discouraging when the staff tries to tell us that the sound doesn’t come on during the advertising but only starts when it’s time for the credits before the movie and then it doesn’t come on at all. Several patrons get up and make the trek to the front counter as well. It’s hard to promote this theater when there are so many problems with sound and movies not starting on time.

Can I give 4 3/4 Stars? Loved this theatre before the remodeling years and even more now! Only fault is parking, which is an acceptable trade off for being on the Woodstock square near the restaurants, park and shops. (Walk off some of that buttered popcorn!) Always good first-run movies, great prices, free refills, friendly staff, lovely historical theatre. Since the multi--year expansions and remodeling, its even better! I love that they uncovered and restored so much of the historical architecture, but I miss the old fashioned front ticket window. ( pretty sure the employees don't miss it in winter though! Brrr!) Love the new seats, technology upgrades and enough bathrooms! Theaters and bathrooms are always CLEAN! No sticky...

Friendly staff. Located at Woodstock Square. Great area to catch dinner after the movie. This theatre has the old seats. It is not remodeled with the newer reclining heated/ cooled ones. The location of our particular seats were not that great. There was a half wall just below us, and it did block part of the screen. We came to woodstock because the movie we wanted to see was sold out in Fox Lake. I was surprised when I saw the soda and butter out on our side of the counter. Does make getting popcorn with extra butter kind of harder. Had to have the counter person fill the popcorn bucket halfway while I walked over to butter up then go back to wait in line with my half filled bucket. But, it all...
