Commissioners Park — Attraction in Worth Township

Commissioners Park is an oasis in the middle of the city. The landscaping is lovely with trees providing ample shade, flower gardens in bloom year round, and well-maintained grassy areas.

The playground is fantastic for children of all ages with climbing structures, slides, and swings. It is very large and has plenty of seating for parents to supervise from. The playground equipment is regularly updated and well cared for.

The walking paths that encircle the park are a perfect spot to stroll and take in the scenery. The paths are well paved and wide enough for multiple walkers or joggers comfortably.

The staff does a wonderful job keeping the park clean. There are ample trash cans throughout and I have never seen litter on the ground during multiple visits. The facilities like benches and picnic tables are repaired quickly when needed.

We got here at opening time and left at about 530, what a great day out. Our two year old was able to feed the penguins which was so lovely to watch and he got to meet Peaches for a photo afterwards. We took a little break in the jungle barn while it was raining which was really handy and the kids loved it. We tried the train ride but unfortunately it started raining again and wasn’t able to run. We had bought our own picnic with us and there is a large picnic area outside and also an area inside you can use which was especially handy due to the weather. We walked around and managed to see everything while the children napped in the pushchair so the rain didn’t bother us and once they woke we returned to the jungle barn. Very nice park with a trail around the entire park. Has lots of features such as the playground, volleyball court with sand, baseball/softball fields, a pond with ducks and fish, an area to play soccer and American football. There's also a hill which from where you can see the sun set in the evening which is very stunning. This park is also dog friendly and there's stations around the park which hold bags to clean up...
