I normally use Walgreens for my scripts, but a friend recommend family fair because on this day my pharmacy was already closed and i need to get antibiotics because i was sick, when i first pulled up to the window the lady was very helpful and nice, she rang up my scripts which i expected to be o.oo because i have 2 insurances, but it ring up to be a certain amount i asked her if they ran both insurances and she automatically got an attitude saying only came back one, i explained they are both active and i just picked up a script the day before from walgreens and she proceeded to tell me then maybe i need to go there🤦🏼♀️ well hello i just told you they were closed and who says that anyway! I then tell her i just came from the doctors office and i know for a fact the secondary insurance is active she then gets even more of an attitude and says we are a pharmacy and bill differently, lol ok so i would normally just pay this and call my insurance to reimburse me, but why with this type of service, so i say can you just check it again, she is still argumentative and says ma'am if it is not showing up it's not there! I guess my face must of said it all because she then rolls her eyes and say yep I'd be happy to assist you sarcastically and leaves the window, after 10 mins and once pulling back around to let other customers get their scripts, another woman finally comes over with my scripts and guess what! There is no charge because they found my insurance, and no apologies! not to mention the one who got the attitude sent someone else to bring the meds to the window! I mean the other 2 people in there seemed nice, but to have to sit and argue over this was really petty, and this is why i will continue to go...
Read moreThe Family Fare in Elmore is a nice place to do some quick shopping. They have a reduced price room that I love shopping in, I get great deals on coffee in there! They also have a reduced price freezer section where you can get tons of amazing deals on everything from ice cream & Sara Lee Pies to bacon, burger & butter! I save a lot of money here, so I really load up the cart in those two sections. I do have to say, the rest of the store is fairly expensive, but no more than Leppinks in Lakeview. But the 2 discount areas really make this store worth coming to. One more drawback is that they do not have their bottle return machine up & running. Now this is really nonsensical. I realize COVID-19 is rampant& all, but 1st of all, everyone else has their bottle returned systems back to operating standards by now, and secondly, here, they have the machine where you just shove your bottles in! They don't have to actually count them for you, and actually touch each can or bottle! This is not good customer service. To keep the bottle machine down. People need to be able to turn their cans in. And one more thing..why..why is there ALWAYS help wanted on the marquee? Do they just pay poorly? Or is the owner hard to work for?...
Read moreI typically really enjoy shopping here at this store, but today, it was a big fat NO. I stood at the customer service counter for 5 minutes, waiting for someone to come and take the returnable cans that were purchased at their store, but wouldn't be accepted by the machines in the Bottle Return area. 3 male employees were near the curbside grocery pick-up area and they walked to and from behind the counter, laughing with one another as I stood there. One said "We'll be with you in a minute," but then proceeded to walk back and forth without further acknowledgement for several more minutes. I asked one of the 3 when he walked by a few minutes later if he could find someone to help me. He mumbled about a manager, knocked on the closed door behind the counter, but then just walked away. This may sound like a petty review, but when you have multiple employees ignoring a waiting customer at your "customer service" desk for that long, it's a far cry from customer service and should be noted. I left with all the unaccepted returns and will take them to a different store for my next grocery purchase. Do better,...
